  1. CG lost 4 fumbles. Muffed a punt that they recovered. And had another fumble blown dead that probably should not have been. Warren's defense was pretty darn good at forcing those turnovers. Was very impressed by #27 defensively.
  2. No. You have it wrong. Rules and Procedures Beginning with the second half of any high school football game, when the point differential between teams is at or reaches 35 points, the game clock shall convert to a running clock. A running clock is defined as a clock that does not stop during play with the exception of timeouts, scores and/or injuries. Once the running clock is implemented, the clock may not revert back to standard timing protocols regardless of the score of the contest.
  3. I don't think this is correct. From what I've heard, getting it back under 35 doesn't matter.
  4. agreed, don't care for it. I think the move to 6 quarters should have been done first.
  5. To clarify, just read a story in the local paper about GF, their 50 players include 16 freshmen. They have 7 seniors.
  6. Gonna take some time at Greenfield Central. Both QBs and top WR transferred from the program in the last 9 months. Looks like their varsity has less than 50 players. But the new coach is going about it the right way. Both 7th and 8th grade teams were in the wishbone.
  7. Just making sure this is quoted and saved Rodney.
  8. Solid. Also some things to work on. From NP twitter: Charlie Spegal 6-95 Luke Canfield 4-66, 2 TD Eric Roudebush 30yd TD Lincoln Roth 2-3 passing, 43 yds, 2 TD (33 to Austin ,10 to R.Large) Darin Johnson 31 TD run Defense pitches a shutout. Defense had two picks and recoverd a fumble. Scecina looks to be down a bit though.
  9. 🍿 🍿 🍿 Can I ask how Cathedral looked? Or will that start a fist fight?
  10. I know it’s only 7v7, but Cathedral looked good in the tourney at Colts complex. Lost in semifinals in OT vs eventual champs Brownsburg.
  11. Thank you. I appreciate that. I definitely did not mean to imply anybody was chirping. Dwenger is confident they will compete in 5A. Good for them. That's what this season is all about. I knew last year after week 2 that NP was very, very good. Definitely lost some great seniors and leadership. That team was also blessed with very few injuries. Not sure if this team is in their class yet. The QB last year was one of the toughest runners I've ever seen. Well maybe since his brother. That will be missed.
  12. FWIW, Maxen said Dwenger was calling their shot at the statehouse. "We'll see you next year!"
  13. Cathedral returns a QB, OL, LB, and S that are all getting college looks. I read in the paper they may be very young on the OL, with possibly 3 sophomores starting. They also lost RB1, WR1, and TE1 to graduation.
  14. NP does return 7 offensive starters and 8 defensive starters as well as punter and kicker.
  15. Not sure "coast" is the word I'd use. New Pal returns quite a few players, but also lost a lot of quality seniors that played major roles. QB, WR, center, guard, and 3 ILB all graduated. The center also played D-line and has moved on to play at UIndy. The WR also played CB and is gonna play baseball at Indiana Wesleyan. And one of the LB is gonna play at Taylor. Lost some studs. Need some kids to step up into those spots.
  16. as an LC alum, I think it's a great idea. I guess attendance numbers will determine if it was or was not.
  17. Yep, looks like 3A has 64 teams, so a bump should be coming. However, with the IHSAA, anything is possible!
  18. FYI, when this happened in 5A, nobody got bumped to 4A.
