WW seems to always struggle with speedy backs. Afraid Clarksville RB will be too much. Hope im wrong. I'll most likely be at SV/Mitchell game this week so curious how both teams are.

I still can't "like" more than one post in a day, which is absurdly stupid.

But this is me "liking" your post lol

Just so ya know I heard WW won't have a JV game this week due to Pekin maybe not having enough. I can say our JR high beat em pretty soundly Thursday. So their is my JV participation. Haha

  3. WW wins 36-8. Little sloppy in 2nd half but great running game today against a team who was bigger on the line. Team had 300 rush yds in 1st half. Never heard of 2nd half. I'd guess around 450 total. Next week a totally different test as our speed will be tested against a Clarksville team who is currently crushing Scottsburg.

Valley had a running clock on EG last check of 43-6. Paoli was down pretty bad against a good Boonville team. Crawford was down big to Switzerland Co.

When the server crashed it told me my username was invalid and when I tried to make a new one it told me my username was in use so I gave up for a while. Saw the Facebook group and decided to see if this place was still around.

Good to have ya back. Bout time for kickoff. Good luck everyone. Here's to hoping WW has improved since last year!!

Just saw where Springs Valley and Salem both need a Week 5 game now. Seems like an easy fix for both teams. Looks like Dugger dropped out for Valley. Not sure who Salem's opponent was.

So does Cathedral. If I see Lowe I'll tell him to suck it up. 🤣🤣. Looks like WW can now schedule Bowman Academy for week 6...😂

    Boonville at Paoli-  BOONVILLE

Eastern Pekin at West Washington-  WW

    Edgewood at Mitchell-  MITCHELL

Springs Valley at Eastern Greene-  SPRINGS VALLEY

Switzerland County at Crawford County-  CC

Tell City at Perry Central-  PC

    Brownstown at Corydon-  BROWNSTOWN

North Harrison at Salem-  NORTH HARRISON

    Scottsburg at Clarksville- SCOTTSBURG

Silver Creek at Charlestown-  SILVER CREEK

What's the reasoning for North Harrison over Salem? Just looking for more chatter about teams.

  7. Boonville at Paoli

    Springs Valley at Eastern Greene

    Switzerland County at Crawford County

    North Harrison at Salem

    Scottsburg at Clarksville

    Silver Creek at Charlestown

Probably most interested in Valley/EG match up. Valley lost alot so they will be inexperienced but still some good pieces. Hoping WW takes a step forward this year and stays competitive against the upper teams in the conference

Two clear favorites in Paoli and Perry.

3-5 will be interesting to see between Valley, WW, and Mitchell.

Can CC shock some people? Over the summer the rumor was going around about them having a large number of kids out.

For the 'jackets, they will replace some skill pieces. Losing Mundy hurts, but Kale England did get some reps throughout the season at QB. The strength of this crew will be in the trenches.

Huge Coach Kling fan! Kids love him and he has a plan. He's doing a great job building up the youth and JH programs as well. Excited to see what this will look like 2-3 years down the road.

Agree about the future here too. WW Jr High last year went 5-1-1. 2 cancelations due to covid. Our loss was to Crawford County so maybe that's a positive sign for them. I do know our youth league has 80+ kids signed up this year (grades 3-6). They are forming 4 teams. Not sure how our varsity or JR high will be this year but definitely seem to have a great foundation forming.

That's good to hear about mitchell and from what pictures I've seen the new facilities are going to be amazing!! Can't wait to visit there again.

  9. I remember in jr high chasing down the Friday night lights crew at a West Washington game and being in back ground of every shot acting like a total idiot. Was a great time. Can't remember for life of me who we were playing. Fred Cowgil at CBS has been to WW a few times of last couple seasons for team profiles/team of the week stuff but have seen the old midgame chopper landing in the field in a long time.

Yep. I’ve been saying this as well. It’s a compromise that gives more than it takes. It keeps things pretty much exactly how they are but it just seeds the top two teams in each sectional and keeps them on opposite sides of the bracket. If the sectional is loaded with three or four good teams then you have the chance of playing the third or fourth best team one round earlier than if you seeded all three or four. One round isn’t a big deal.

I'd take a step further and rig home and away too but that's me. Both get home rd 1. 1 seed plays on rd round 2 and 2 seed plays at home. If both make finals 1 seed gets home game. That's just me.

I will say all this will lead to is down the road the "3rd or 4th" best team will complain if they lose rd 1 to top team and 2 winless teams play and 1 gets to advance. People are always going to whine or nitpick and that's why I don't think it'll ever happen. At the end of the day I don't think what happens in rd 1 or 2 generally matter when it comes to what happens in indy. So it's probably never going to be worth it to them

Dang WW Fan, no love for the Senators? LOL.  I believe they might surprise some people.  We shall see.  If I was ranking the conference right now, I see it as this:

    1.  Perry

    2.  Paoli

    3.  Valley

    4.  WW

    5.  Mitchell

    6.  CC

It is so hard to predict in the off season, especially after last season and no JV games to speak of, so it is hard to say how much your young players are going to be able to impact your teams.  I do believe WW has a good crop of young players that can impact their season, it is just going to come down on how much they have improved during the off season.  Good luck to all the PLAC teams.

Trying to be as unbiased as possible. Haha. They return all but 2..maybe 3 starters and still almost all Jr/So. A year in the weightroom should help. They had no outside run game or much of a passing game last year (which hurts my soul). Ill be curious if they tweak the offense at all. Team also played better then some scores indicate but man when the wheels fell off they really collapsed. Obviously all first year starters last year after losing every starter off back to back semi state teams. I like alot of the kids. Chase, Holloway, Strother, Cruz...I could go on about a bunch. Just gotta hope year 2 is smoother and they are faster and stronger.
