So are there any female coaches?  Given that very few women(biological) ever played the sport and very few coaches end up coaching a sport they never played, there can't be many.  However, I was curious if there were any.  Sounds like a good way to get a nice newspaper article written about your team.

Multiple were posted on the first page. West Washington has had one for 7 years.

You asked for it.  You placed it on a tee for people.

No, I haven’t had the pleasure of coming across a female coach or official in my time as a fan of the sport...but if I do?

GREAT.  AWESOME.  AMAZING.  A damn cool thing.

Probably not the answer you were “hoping for” though huh?

Kinda my thinking a bit. Title set it up. But still got 2 answers thread related above and nothing about that

Thanks! We are really excited about the schedule we have put together. We've added Providence and WW, hoping to add Clarksville the following year. Now our main goal is putting a team on the field that's fun and competitive to watch. Our fields have been leveled now it's just a matter of time with seeding, funding for lights/scoreboard etc.

Well if the numbers up there are close to correct it's a decent chance all 4 of us will be in same sectional too! Could be some good games coming up!!

You don't have Rock Creek Academy listed, we are 1A with an enrollment of around 160. Not sure if or how that will change anything, but wanted to throw it out there.

It has Barr Reeve listed which dont have football so you'll take their place. Haha. Also good to see you guys on the schedule. Look forward to hopefully playing at your place in year or so

I believe WW and CC will play Week 8. The other game just have not been added to Harrell's site. Either the Coach or the AD has to email Mr. Harrell to update the schedule.

Ah. Guess that works. Our schedule seems to be getting changed alot this year. Looks like adding Rock Creek over Farmersburg...CC at 8 means we dropped Washington after 1 year (rather play Washington). Maybe we can get Providence down the road too

  6. Also awaiting on some official word on Crawford County. At one point they had talked about going independent for football and coming back later but PLAC said no. As of about a week ago a newspaper article said they were going to stay. However according to Harrells WW, Mitchell and maybe other appeared to have dropped them. WW has Clarksville week 2 and CC listed against Eastern.

I hope my above comments weren't misconstrued as being negative.  I wondered if there was a family/regional connection that was drawing him back to Campbellsburg.  One of my college roommates was a Senator alum, and I have nothing but respect for the WW faithful.  I wish you guys and Coach the best of luck!

O no not by me. I dont know much about him outside of he ran the flexbone at Paoli. After seeing no huddle shotgun for last like 15 years or so itll be interesting to see that transition if he chooses that path again. I watched some LaPorte games last night and they were run heavy but shotgun (similar to WW last year). Looking forward to finding out what info I can as it comes along. Just get all the kids you can to play and hopefully it leads to titles. Excited for the future

North Decatur recently announced they are leaving the Mid-Indiana Football Conference for the Mid-Eastern Conference in football only starting in 2021.  Not sure about Milan, but there seems to be some uncertainty about the future of the MIFC.

Thank you! Good for North Decatur. Hopefully all the teams find some stability.

I would agree SC wouldn’t be bottom feeders in the HHC. I’m sure they already play a nearly full HHC schedule in most sports aside from football.

Regarding Football, first off hats off to SC in what they’ve managed to build in a short time frame. I’ve seen them several times over the last 10 years and seen the growth. That being said there is a big difference in playing 1 game a year against bigger schools and the depth they bring and playing an entire season. How many people did SC have playing both ways this year? Then think about replacing Clarksville, Scottsburg, Eastern Pekin, etc., with Jeff, NA, BNL, etc. As the season grinds on, it becomes a cumulative effect. I’m not trying to belittle any of the programs listed, just for comparison.

All of this is fun to speculate about, from my conversations with people in the know, SC has no interest in a conference change, and honestly why would they? They are typically among conference leaders across the board and they’re growing while already being the biggest school in the conference they’re in.

I agree to an extent and as stated have no dog in the fight. But as you stated what does playing Clarksville (recently dropped for Floyd Central) pekin, Scottsburg do for SC in post season? If you can compete with these schools in every other sport why not take your lumps in football and be better prepared for tourny play? I agree they arent ready for CE to come down here or maybe even NA. The area itself seems to be rapidly growing. Even Charlestown is like 75 students off 4A. To me I look at it as if im SC. If you continue to grow and gain more and more kids I feel youll outgrow the MSC. Next year if Clarksville doesn't go independent the conference will probably have 1A-4A schools. It just feels they are outgrowing them is all and im not sure where else they would go. Again....10 years from now

  10. Browsing around through Harrells i came across the schedule of Milan. They play in the Mid Indiana Football Conference. 6 teams. They have 8 of their 9 games listed with week 5 being open. Weird thing was only 1 of those 8 was a conference opponent. North Decatur of the same conference only listed 2 conference opponents. Does anyone know why or is this just an error on Harrells?

Also thought we could use this as a spot to list other conference moves. Such as it appears all but certain Clarksville is going independent in football

The good news is that, since they play Jeff and Floyd in 2021, we will have a measurement of their football program. Beating Seymour, half of the time, prior to 2016, is not a good measurement of a program's success.

And ill agree with that. Which is why I wondered if scheduling Jeff and Floyd was an "audition" of sorts. I mean if they prove they can hang over next few years and you do favor 8 teams (admittedly i do too. As a PLAC/MSC follower i enjoy different teams playing and new venues to visit) would you want the HCC to add them and remove say Jennings Co who seemingly is a terrible at football? I dont follow the big boys often so im genuinely asking.

The burden of proof is on those who accuse, not on those who deny.

Well you're the one who said they are another Madison. That's how this got started. He listed proof in tons of areas (other sports) that dispute that claim and all you have said is "they didn't win sectional." I have no dog in this fight and don't get on here to just argue but Silver Creek is better then Madison. Will they leave MSC or could they even be a top force in HCC in say 10 years? Who knows. But they wouldn't just be bottom feeders year in and year out. Thats my opinion

It would be like having Madison in the HHC, but worse.

I think they are already better then Madison. I didnt mean join today but if they can prove in next 5 years or so they can hang or beat Jeff/FC/ and maybe eventually NA why wouldn't the HHC take em in? Time will tell. Just be interesting to watch next few years
