  1. WW trails Pekin 16-14 at the half. Our Run defense is a struggle to say the least. WW has moved the ball but has 2 turnovers and ended of half at the 5. The runs to the SB have not worked. Lots of mental errors. Early season losing basically all the starters and new system. Lots of work to do.

  2. Looking forward to Friday night! Got a hold of a roster and seen some kids not listed I was excited about and lots of new guys. Think overall team total is +5 compared to last year which is good. Looking forward to see how the new offense looks. Glad it's outta the gun. Hopefully Jr high numbers are decent. I'll be seeing youth league a few times now that they are in the PLAC league. Let's get football started!!

Yes we should be good as long as we don't get hit with the Covid bus again. 95% of our team was quarantined due to Covid positives so we weren't going to have enough practices to play game 1 against Oldenburg (team just got back today actually)

Good to hear. Always enjoy new teams and venues. Looking forward to traveling to RC next year if not during the tourny.

Yes per the Oldenburg twitter accont:

"The football game vs Rock Creek Academy scheduled for August 21st at 2:00 OM at Roger Bacon has been cancelled due to positive cases in Rock Creek's football program. The Twisters will not play Friday, August 27th at Union City with a 7:00 PM kick-off. Thank you for your understanding"

Thank you. They are on our schedule too. Hopefully things are good to go by then.

I have a few thoughts on this poll that I would like to share. The first thing that comes to mind is that Parke Heritage is much better than #6 in 1A. With the fire power they return, plus a slew of transfers from Terre Haute and Brazil, the Wolfs should be ranked #1 or better. Coach Brian Moore, one of three hall of fame coaches in the WRC, is set up for one last championship run before he rides off into the sunset. I got to see them a couple of times this summer, and Coach Moore has that old gleam back in his eye and spring in his step.

The second thing that comes to mind is who are the simple fools that voted for North Vermillion? 3 votes coming off of a 1-9 season in which they struggled to stay competitive? It makes a person wonder if the people who voted in this poll did any background research.

Honest question....do any of these new dudes prevent teams from running it down their throat?

  6. I work with a lady who's son is a senior at Paoli. Think she said 17 seniors. Curious how mitchell looks. Last year had a ton of guys hurt and pretty low numbers. PLAC could be pretty open. Also looking forward to Springs Valley. They could surprise some. Offense showed flashes last year. Return the QB who can play some ball.

Not many of us left here but looking forward to making the trip to Pekin in 2 weeks!!

  7. If I had to pick a PLAC champ I'd slide toward Paoli. WW and PC lost a ton. I'm also just don't know enough about Lowery to picture our team. Who takes over at QB? 5 new OL. I like alot of the kids. Roberts, Chase, McPheeters, Holloway ect. But new system and I'd assume we will struggle early.

Looking forward to my first chance to see the new team

IMO, @DT has done more to pump life into the GID than the next 3 posters anyone can name combined. The idea to obtain interviews from all these coaches was brilliant, worthy of TA. We all owe DT, whether you like the point of view he takes in other posts or not.

Agree 100%!!! These interviews are great offseason reads. Just gets me even more ready for the season
