Does anyone have the score of the Cathedral vs. Southport Freshman game? It's not posted on the Cathedral website as usual.

The directional school part to their schedule is over and now it's now onto the real world schedule. Northwestern up next.

A good friend of mine, an IU grad of course, tried to tell me that IU is better than Notre Dame at this point. I tried to tell him it's too early to tell, but I did tell him that the Irish has beaten two BIG teams and IU is yet to do so. I hope they meet again in the Playoffs, and it's a shame that their home and home has been cancelled.

It seems this LSU coach has some trouble winning the big game too.

The Irish finished the first half in a shaky manner, but played better in the 2nd half on the way to a 27-10 win. Lots of contributors.

I'm old enough to remember the 10-10 classic of 1966 between the Spartans and the Irish. I don't expect the same type of game tonight as the Irish are 28.5 point favorites. But the Irish need to pay attention. GO IRISH!!!!

IU 38, Western Kentucky 0

The Hoosiers are 44.5 point favorites, but thanks to a late pick they're up 14-0 at halftime. Halftime in the Hoosier locker room should be interesting. The late score was a Hilltopper gift.

The Hoosiers are scuffling a bit today with Western Kentucky.

Coach Peebs had a competitive team at Southport in the past. It also was a powerhouse back in my early days. I saw many games down there, especially when they player Manual or Washington. Perry Meridian hasn't been very good in the recent past either.

Cathedral 51, Southport 0, final. It was 51-0 at halftime and the Irish played everyone that dressed in the 2nd half. It's a shame that a school of the size doesn't have many football players. That's one nice facility down there too!

I don't mind Eventlink at all! At my age it's quite easy to access and purchase tickets. Ticketmaster is another animal though. Way too many hoops to maneuver for this old fan!

I still go to the games. The atmosphere is the same for me. I'll be at Southport for the Cathedral/Southport game. There's nothing like being in the stands on Friday nights! I did miss one game this season due to the excessive heat, coupled with my age and medical history.

Only one word to describe the Colts loss to the Ravens, PITIFUL! I could not believe they were only a 3.5 point underdog last Sunday, and they're only a 6.5 point 'dog at Kansas City Sunday night! I almost wish I was a gambler!
