Only one word to describe the Colts loss to the Ravens, PITIFUL! I could not believe they were only a 3.5 point underdog last Sunday, and they're only a 6.5 point 'dog at Kansas City Sunday night! I almost wish I was a gambler!
-
That was an awful choke job by the Buckeyes! I guess they thought like me that the game was over after 3 quarters!! It ain't over 'til it's over! Arch look real pedestrian for three quarters and then looked like a Manning in the 4th!
-
I may have been a bit premature! The 'Horns has scored twice to narrow the deficit to just 6 points with plenty of time left, 7:14!

The Irish were 44 point favorites today against Rice. They covered that and gave a lot of backups some playing time in the process. It was a 52-0 win. I'd like to see Rice play Howard.

IMO, if Arch Manning's last name was Johnson, Smith, Brown or Jones, he wouldn't get much pub. He's serviceable but not top echelon. tOSU is showing the 'Horns how to play the game tonight. There's still a fourth quarter to be played but it doesn't look good for the home team.

There were people walking to their cars almost a mile away. Nex It took me longer to get out of the neighborhood than it took me to drive home, and I live out by Ben Davis and Covenant Christian. I was there at 5:30 and had to park more than two blocks away. It was like old times having a big crowd for a big Catholic game.

You're partially correct. The Trojans kicker put one through from about 37 yards, but the Irish were offsides, a dead ball foul. From the 32 he was wide right. It was an absolute classic and the Irish had to beat some late home cooking to get the win. There were no punts in the game until 1:07 left when Cathedral punted the ball to the Trojans. With that score you would think it was a defensive battle but it was offense all the way for both teams. And both teams only turned the ball over once each. And the place was packed! There were fans standing two and three deep on the fences on both sides! I need some rest!

You never want to take Bishop Chatard lightly no matter who's on the field. This is a neighborhood battle and I expect that to be the case tonight also. A side note, the last Irish game I missed before last week, and streamed, the Irish beat Center Grove last season. Maybe it's best for me to be a keyboard jockey rather than a spectator.☺️

I began at Cathedral in 1957 and there were about 10%, or so, non Catholics enrolled at that time. IMO, it's a good thing for both Catholics and non Catholics, as I learned as much about other faith lives as they learned about mine. It's just a shame that some hold having non Catholics against Cathedral. I'm sure glad that Cathedral maintains the tradition of inclusion, both racially and religiously.

I'm hoping that the missed day of preparation, and of course being a little overconfident, could be a problem. I believe with the recent history that the coaching staff will have 'em ready for Rice! The Badgers played their hearts out, and I think they wore down a bit. The Irish coaching staff, and the players that responded, are to be commended for the adjustments at halftime. I was a complete reversal, especially in the OL. In looking at the Wisconsin schedule, they should not lose too many BIG games if they play as hard as they did last night. I would think they'll be bowl eligible at least.

41-13 Irish win! The coaches must have gotten in their ears at halftime! The 2nd half was what most Irish fans had envisioned! Both sides of the ball stepped up! It's good to be 1-0!

The Irish are having a bad first game again, and that's redundant anymore. They just can't run the ball. Their longest run being 5 yards. They really miss Love and Price! They've used three running backs so far. Coach Freeman has his hands full here! Oh, the Irish are leading 13-10 at halftime, but it sure doesn't feel like their winning. Gotta get the juices flowing! Mike Golic Sr. is doing a fine job of color commentary on the radio! I always listen to Irish radio and mute the TV.

Outstanding team win! It's the first time the Irish have won at St. X since 2000. Cathedral at Chatard this week should be a big one for both!

The Irish are off to a slow start. The had a penalty and a blocked punt on their first possession and the Badgers are knocking on the door. Irish hold 'em to a FG!

Loyola Academy 33, Cathedral 19. The Irish hung with the multi talented Ramblers through the first half, but the Ramblers took advantage of more talent and two costly Irish turnovers turned the game around in the 2nd half. It was fun to watch such a complex offense operate! I'm not sure the Rambler QB threw more than three incompletions the entire game. Next up for the Irish is Cincinnati St. X on the road. -
Coach Marcus Freeman's pressers are a must see, listen to. His demeanor and insights are quite impressive. And the press conferences are easy access.

It sure looks like the Colt starters better stay healthy this season. The Falcons non starters had their way yesterday.
