  1. Me too! I try not to even predict!
  2. Well, the champion of the ACC, Duke, didn't even make itπŸ˜‰
  3. Let's not forget that the ACC's winner of their "championship" game was Duke. The Blue Devils were the actual ACC champion. So, Notre Dame wasn't the only team that the ACC passed on. I guess picking and choosing is still happening. And I believe Duke was the equal of James Madison and Tulane. But some say rules are rules, except, well you know.
  4. I believe they are going to need any advantage they can come up with. The steamroller is on the way!
  5. This is a comprehensive rundown of the game: Indiana routs Oregon in Peach Bowl to advance to national title game vs. Miami - Yahoo Sports
  6. Hoosiers goin' to the NATTY! Oh, and they covered the 3.5 point spread too!
  7. 42-7 now!
  8. Pretty good first half for the Hoosiers, and they get the ball first in the 2nd half. I'm listening to Don Fischer on the radio, after muting the TV. I just can't listen to Sleepy Sean. Fish is having some fun! I hope he continues to do so!
  9. For Coach Cignetti, the portal is like picking grapes from the vine! You can't blame top players for wanting to play for him.
  10. The only ratings that matter happen in the next two weeks.
  11. The Irish should at least had the opportunity to play IU or whoever in the "CFP." If that's whining, I admit to whining!
  12. Here's another article about the two that seem to be lifetime employees: Carlie Irsay-Gordon immediately makes decision on Ballard, Steichen's future
  13. IU was only a 6 point, or so, favorite against 'Bama.
  14. Others = CFP committee!
  15. That's just one of Ballard's big mess ups! I don't have enough finger strength to list all his big time mess ups!
  16. Last I saw the spread was 10.5. And the Colts offense showed some spark today. Leonard made some rookie mistakes, but his downfield passing was pretty good today. I wish it had been that good last year. Ballard should have been gone many years ago. Steichen, it's a tossup. The team had nothing to play for except pride today, and they came out with a good effort.
  17. The Irish downfield passing game was much better with QB Carr. Leonard had a problem with that. Leonard was a tremendous leader, which Carr will grow into hopefully. The Irish defense got off to a shaky start, and maybe that's because they played two quality opponents losing by a total of only 4 points. USC and Pitt were ranked teams when the Irish played 'em, not top ranked but they were both top 25. All the teams that Notre Dame played were legitimate programs just having down years. I would have liked to see how they fared in the CFP, but others didn't believe they belonged. And Marcus Freeman ain't going nowhere!
  18. I still have the game on DVD and Imes fouled the Cal player at least twice on the way down the court, and then backed off when he launched the off-balance 3. The game itself shows a slow motion version of the sequence, and it's unequivocal that the officials missed the entire play. Even at full speed it evident that they missed it, even after a review. And the behavior of the Cal coach wasn't much better than Michah' at the end of the game. I still have it on DVD if anyone wants to bring over a pepperoni pizza and watch the slo mo with me.πŸ˜‰
  19. That ain't what he and the 'Bama fans were saying on Thursday. They thought they were gettin' the "little brother" IU and they got the all grown up version!
  20. That deserves a resounding AMEN!!!
  21. The Irish would still be favorites against James Madison and Tulane.
  22. And you call Irish fan arrogant!πŸ˜†
  23. 'Bama fans and Paul Finebaum were quite subdued, as you might expect. There was a bit of 'Bama lost more than IU won, but not much. And while watching some of that, it came to me that 'Bama fans love to shout, "roll tide." Well, they did roll last night, over!
  24. So, there was a review after time expired and Ole Miss was credited with a safety. I don't know if that helped anyone, or if anyone cares. Final score is 39-34. The officials are still on the field waving their arms about something. I guess there's still one second left and Georgia is trying to match the Stanford/Cal game of years past. It didn't work, the game is now officially over!
  25. Ole Miss with a 47 yard field goal to win the game. Good! 37-34 Ole Miss, but there are 6 seconds left. FINAL! IU is the only team to win after receiving a first round bye!
