I'm not sure why the Colts are 1.5 point favorites today. Jacksonville has been playing well, the Colts haven't been playing all that well and the game is at Jacksonville. I hope the Colts can cover that spread, though.

I'm not sure the graphic on Fox last night was correct. It stated that Notre Dame was 1-2 against the top 25. Both Pitt and USC either finished in the top 25 or were in the top 25 when the Irish played them. I know for sure that Pitt was like 23 when they played Notre Dame. It doesn't bother me a bit that fans love Notre Dame or hate Notre Dame. There's not much, or any, middle ground. It was apparent in the Fox panel chatter after the game last night and it's apparent on this thread. We can all love or hate 'em as much as we like, but it's up to the folks in "the room" to place 'em or not. And as far as Irish fans being arrogant, I find that laughable. All you have to do is watch the Paul Finebaum show on any given day to hear some real team arrogance. I used all my emoticons after midnight, I guess. But I have one last thing to say here, GO IRISH!!!! Whether it be in the CFP or a nice bowl game in warm weather, it doesn't matter that much to this Irish fan! I'll be watchin' and tootin'! And I'll be rootin' for the Hoosiers too!

And that's why they were 10-2 and the two losses were by 4 total points that teams were rated in the top five early in the season. No one, other than IU and tOSU, want to see Notre Dame on the other side of the line, if the Irish are graciously granted a spot in the CFP's!

Long ride home for the Buckeyes! I had a friend, who I haven't seen in years, who went with his dad to all IU football games, home and away for years. This one is for all long suffering IU fans, but especially Rod Conner!

The ACC sure isn't the weakest in basketball and other sports. Hate all you want. It doesn't really matter.

I'm not sure the 'Bama would not make the playoff with 4 or 5 losses. Same for tOSU. The 12 best teams, whether conference champions are not, should be chosen to compete for the championship. This is going to end up with the MAC champion, like basketball, gets an automatic bid.

You are a Jones denier, imo, with is your opinion. I don't want Richardson back either, and I'd take a chance of throwing Riley Leonard in there before AR. Even though Leonard had problems throwing the ball downfield at Notre Dame, at least he has some leadership qualities. Oh, and the atrocious non calls, two of 'em on the same play, didn't help either. Don't forget that.

Yeah, if he's injured, bench him! He has a tendency to throw into double and even triple coverage lately. And he holds onto the ball way too long, which he wasn't doing earlier in the season. That may be due to his lack of mobility stemming from his injury. They better get back on track soon!

The Irish had a good season and I'm happy about that. The committee has shown to be a bit inconsistent in past year with their choices. If the Irish are left out of the CFP it won't be the first time they've been overlooked. Being Independent has its problems. We will just have to see what happens next Sunday. I won't be worrying about it 'til then.
