No one seems to want to put the blame on Daniel Jones. It's not the first time he's gotten that look in his eye during a tough stretch. I refer everyone to Gregg Doyel's column in the Indy Star. He pretty much tells it like it was. Also, Coach Steichen gets some credit for his atrocious play calling. Throwing the ball with 5:50 or so to go, and still in the lead, was mind boggling considering you have the best running back in the NFL in your backfield. The Colts didn't even take a minute off the clock in that possession Jones threw the ball into double and triple coverage numerous times in that fourth quarter and overtime. You just can't sugarcoat this loss!
Chief win 23-20. It was their only lead of the game. Mark this one up to the Colt's offense. It just wasn't there at all in the 4th quarter. Oh, and Taylor only had about 15 carries today. The defense was on the field most of the 4th quarter and OT. I wouldn't be surprised if KC didn't have 500 yards of total offense today.
The Colts have led the Chiefs the entire game, until the game goes to OT on a Chief FG with no time left. Colts win the toss and take the ball. I hope the offense steps up. They had a bad 4th quarter.
The CFP Selection Committee said the reason Notre Dame is ranked ahead of Miami is that Miami's two losses were to unranked teams, and Notre Dame's losses were to two ranked teams.
Oh, I have no problem with it. I'm just relaying what happened.
The Irish are a 35 point favorite against Syracuse tomorrow. That's about as big a spread as I can ever remember. I realize that the Orange are down to their 3rd string QB. I was hoping to see Angeli play in this one.
The Irish schedule many years ahead, that's why a team that's schedule, say 5 years ago, may not be the powerhouse they were then.
I don't understand you thinking that I don't respect the IU team. They are ranked #2 because they're good. I don't know how to prove that to you any further. Just give it up. Their schedule to begin the season was easy, compare to the Irish playing at Miami and Texas A&M. Thems facts!
Purdue, under Jeff Brohm, was a serious opponent just a few years ago. Old Dominion is having an up season, but they are not traditionally that good. Oh, and my daughter is an Old Dominion grad, so I know a bit about them.
