Picks: Mater Dei by 8, since recent history has been close, I’m expecting another closer one. MD pulls it out late, but TC will not go down without a fight East Central vs Memorial. Anything can happen in this game, but from what I have seen, I will give the nod to East central by 9. Don’t be surprise if East Central or Memorial wins, especially in the confines of Enlow.

East Central's Overall Season Offense: Passing: 136 YPG 0.612 CP% Rushing: 220 YPG 6.2 YPC Total: 356 YPG/ 40 PPG Defense: Passing (allowed): 123 YPG Rushing (allowed): 99 YPG Total: 222 YPG/ 14.0 PPG Sectional Championship recap: East Central does their East Central thing and dominates the game right off the back. Scoring 21 points in the 1st Quarter, and beating Martinsville 37-7. EC QB Cole Burton had himself a night, going 10/11 136 yards and 2TD passes to WR JR. Aston. However, EC dominated the run game the entire night nearly having 300 rushing yards, with Soph Josh Ringer going for 116 yards and starting where he left off in the sectionals. Defensively, did really well only giving up 1 score to Martinsville and gathering 5 TFL and 4 PDs. Unfortunately for East Central, Senior Starter Defensive/Punter Sam Ringer left the game in the early 4th quarter after a fake punt, we wish him the best in the future. With a regional championship on the line and a potential rematch with Roncalli. EC will be coming out hot Saturday, against their newest Evansville team in the Memorial Tigers at Enlow!

Major loss for EC, seemed like he played a big role on their defense too. Sucks getting another injury after your junior season, from what I heard. Hope he recovers well! He tore his ACL or messed up something in his leg. It looked really bad watching their game last week.

Memorial’s Varsity Defense did not allow an score from NV until the 2nd string unit came onto the field. Memorial’s Offense ran all over NV’s Defense, totaling about 265 rushing yards and passed decently, when needed. Memorial’s O did also keep around 10-14 points off the board too. However, NV had some nice looks overall and had a nice goal stand towards the end of the game, although there was an controversial call from it. They even were impressive when they would be backed up inside their own 10 and some how managed to avoid multiple safeties. Player of the game goes to RB Ray Brodie, we accumulated 240 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Overall, it was a solid performance by the Tigers, as now they look towards their first ever matchup with 4A power East Central, who is no stranger when it comes to the SIAC.

Been looking at Carrol’s stadium and holy smokes! They put in tons of work building their new stadium. Tons of space for this upcoming game, too bad I live in Evansville, or else I would check it out.

Maybe? Our girls soccer team last year was in 3A, but they got moved back down this year. I’m not the expert when it comes to the SF, maybe Cathedral stays in 5A dude to enrollment
