  1. If we can bring in Bloomington South and Columbus North it would definitely be stronger.
  2. I would be for it. Unfortunately, the top half of 4A being moved up to 5A probably wouldn’t like it because of the “size disparity”.
  3. I think it’s true for New Albany at least. It’s not the worst East team ever. 1997 and 1998 were the darkest of days.
  4. To give you some perspective, I have a friend on the varsity coaching staff of one of the teams East plays annually. When he watched tape of East, his exact words were “East looks worse than ever in my opinion.”
  5. If you guys don’t win by 21+ then it’s not a result of us being good. It’s a result of Floyd Central playing down to their competition.
  6. I will admit I underestimated the o-line and d-lines. When I saw them in person for the first time this season against Jennings County, I was like, “Well I was wrong. These boys are bigger than they looked in photos/videos and definitely bigger than what we’ve had in the past.” However, bigger doesn’t mean better. Experience also doesn’t mean better. And Lawson is a good WR but he also needs the ball more. However, he’s also skinny. Having said all this, don’t let your eyes deceive you. This isn’t a good team. They may look good against Jennings County and they may put up points against Seymour and New Albany but, against a quality opponent, they’re overmatched. Hate saying it since I love my school but I have to be honest. They stink. Hopefully they can prove me wrong but I have seen them play twice (once in person) and I have listened on the radio and seen the stats/scores of their games. They’re a 3rd or 4th place team in the HHC. Right now, I think Jeff beats them.
  7. The schedule will be up every Tuesday evening so the slacker AP poll can be included for rankings accuracy purposes.
  8. At least Frankfort has scored a point this year.
  9. Pretty sure the haka is what allowed Irvington Prep to get their first ever win last Friday night. Never underestimate the haka.
  10. Overall, it does prove the travel has no effect on the outcome. However, there are always exceptions to the rule. Just because the data states it has no effect doesn’t mean that’s 100% accurate. Even if it’s 99%, that means there’s an exception to the rule somewhere.
  11. HHC Pick ‘Em Standings (after week 5): @boilerfan87 8/8 @Goose10 8/8 @Fkfootball 7/8 @Frozen Tundra 7/8 @gonzoron 7/8 @Impartial_Observer 7/8 @LC_Bears_04 7/8 @mamasa 7/8 @Bulldog15 4/4 @Uncle Bubba 3/4
  12. Worst thing about the Madison at Jennings County game tonight was the number of penalties. As I was leaving, I heard the game stats on the radio. Jennings County had 14 penalties for 130 yards. Madison had 19 penalties for 129 yards. The amount of flags was atrocious.
  13. BNL beat Seymour 34-13
  14. Floyd Central beat Jeffersonville 34-12
  15. East beat New Albany 49-28 and only led 21-14 at the half. Pitiful performance by East when New Albany’s biggest offensive output prior to tonight was 14 points. Floyd Central and BNL will steamroll us.
  16. Jennings County wins 41-20. Not sure what Burton said to them at the half but they outscored Madison 41-7 in the second half. A completely different team.
  17. 16 yard TD pass by Jennings County. They lead 41-20 with 40.4 seconds left.
  18. 4 yard TD pass by Jennings County. They lead 34-20 with 4:58 left.
  19. And Jennings County returns the kickoff about 80 yards for the TD. 27-20 with 10:37 left.
  20. 2 yard TD run by Madison. Tied at 20 with 10:51 left.
  21. 24 yard QB keeper for a TD by Jennings County. They now lead 20-13 with 1:00 left in the 3rd.
  22. Jennings County recovers the onside kick and marches down the field before finishing it off with a 35 yard QB keeper. PAT missed. We’re tied at 13 with 5:07 left in the 3rd.
  23. 3 yard TD run by JC. 13-7 Madison with 6:49 left in the 3rd.
  24. After the kick return, Jennings County lobs a bomb down the field on the first play only for it to get intercepted and returned into field goal range. Madison then kicked a 26 yard field goal and leads 13-0 with 3 seconds left in the half.
  25. Madison kicks a FG. Didn’t get the yardage but it was around 30. It’s 10-0 with 33.6 seconds left
