  1. I could see Mississinewa being more willing than Delta. They're almost as big as Marion now, they've been even with the Giants(who i don't think has given up points to Anderson, Central, and Richmond in a couple seasons), and they maybe would enjoy being in a conference they can win without hoping Eastbrook has a bad day.
  2. If I remember correctly, I think so. Or atleast New Castle felt that way. I'm pretty sure it was split and a couple of the schools really fought to keep New Castle, but weren't able to. As a Marion fan, I definitely miss New Castle more basketball wise than football wise(although they've had some decent teams down there lately). As for football and the conference, ugh. It needs something for sure. Its clearly Jeff, a decent sized gap, then Harrison. The Giants have been good, but they aren't as good as Jeff and beating up on everyone else doesn't help when you play teams like Hobart in the tournament.
  3. Agree about Kokomo, so if you add them and then take on Yorktown like was suggested and you have a decent 10 school league. Not sure some of those schools would be open to it though.
  4. Resident Giants fan here lol. This is the first game that the Giants have had this postseason that has me nervous. I'll admit that I don't know much about Hobart, but the little bit that I did watch of them against Lowell and Logan, they seemed big for sure. Throw in the long bus ride and I can see this being the game where the Giants run out of steam. I hope not obviously, but im sure it'll be good either way.

  6. 28-20 Marion leads with 2:25 left in the game. Admirable effort by East Noble to fight all the way back when they were down 21-3.
  7. 21-3 Marion leading East Noble 58seconds left in the 1st half. Giants' Zaimar Burnett showing off some of his sprinters speed for a couple huge plays. East Noble's offense stalling after their first drive.
  8. Exactly. Since none of the schools have any "actual" state championships in football, beating each other is what matters. And eventhough Eastbrook has been the clear program at the top of the football mountain, the Giants beat them the first and only time they played each other in an actual game. And because of their success, they know that they're gonna coast through the CIC. They expect to win and go deep in the tournament every year. So the one thing they haven't done yet was beat the Giants. They sat around all winter and spring preparing to do just that, this time on their own field. That game was theirs before it started lol.
  9. No excuses because a loss is a loss, but that Eastbrook game was like a perfect storm for Marion. They weren't healthy and any time the county schools play Marion its like a super bowl for them. They've been playing much better as the season has gone on. Wasn't surprised about the Delta game, because they shutout a very good and very similar Delta team before. It should be a good game, sounds like East Noble has alot of talent, however in my clearly biased opinion lmao, I think Marion will be ok as long as they don't put themselves in bad situations.
  10. The Giants don't mind being underdogs. Their only obstacle is themselves.
  11. Delta's not gonna quit, the Giants better not either or they'll lose. 28-14 Giants less than a minute still in the 3rd
  12. Well, looks like I may be wrong. Giants haven't made many mistakes and they're leading big so far. Of course there's still alot of time.
  13. I dunno. I'd love to see the Giants win by 14, but I think this one may come down to a FG again like last year. I haven't watched Ole Miss this year, but the Giants still make far too many mistakes and I think that will keep the game close.
  14. I'm going to guy with the guy who made us hear his name over and over when we played against him. The sound of the PA guy saying "DUSTINNNN KELLERRRR" still haunts me lol.
  15. Marion 51- Logansport 0 final. Missisinewa 34- Oak Hill 0 2nd qtr
  16. 2 minutes left in the first quarter. Marion 28. Richmond 0. Get the running clock ready
  17. Meanwhile, Marion and Anderson had to have a running clock in order to get to halftime (injury-caused delay).
