Prayers go out to this young man's family, friend, coaches, and teammates as they mourn the loss of their fallen teammate. Willie Venzell Ivy III, 17, died from a gunshot wound to the chest (wane.com).

Seventeen years old, that really sucks.

Dang man. That’s like the second time in ten days that an Indiana high school football player has died from a gunshot. Happened in New Albany the previous weekend to a Corydon Central player at a fall festival.

Nothing good happens after 10pm. I wish more young people would adhere to that rule.

I agree nothing good happens after 10pm, but there are shootings that happen in broad daylight too. In 2020 Mario McCullough a Junior at the time at Cathedral was shot and killed around 3pm on a Sunday. It is definitely tragic to see these young men lose their life to senseless acts.

Well yeah, thousands of shootings occur every year in broad daylight. Just saying it's a good rule to follow is all. Both losses are tragic no matter the time of day. Didn't mean for the time of day to be the bigger story here.

Wild story

I guess the lesson here is that if you play with guns, they play back.
