Who all did RP scrimmage this summer? I know FC scrimmaged Pioneer and South Put.. I think maybe even North Judson was at that scrimmage also

From my understanding they saw North & South Putnam, Maconaquah, Linton, Southmont & Seeger this past summer at various single and multi team scrimmages. Maybe a few more, not sure. I've seen them down at Linton for the past several summers.

Does it really matter? It's easy to take losses in the summer when it doesn't go on a record. How did those scrimmages help FC so far this season?

Yes, it matters. Summer scrimmages are a great way to challenge your team and see their progress. FC will reap the benefits of solid competition by the end of the season.

Three year winning streak??? That's pretty impressive! I've heard they have around 50 players on their roster this year is there any truth to that? I just can't imagine a school in the WRC having 50 kids on the roster.

Max preps says 56 on the roster but looks like about 90 players and 28 coaches

Not 100% sure who RP had all summer, but a subscription to the Lafayette Courier Journal would have told you exactly who FC scrimmaged.   I think they posted an article on every scrimmage they had like it was the Super Bowl of the greater Lafayette area.   Hard Knocks WRC - Meet the Mustangs

Summer scrimmages can be a good indicator for where you are at as a team and good for experimentation, but as far as those being a fix to the "beefing up" your schedule idea they are a bit more problematic.  They are far more controlled than actual games are (typically either a set amount of time or plays on offense and/or defense), have no special teams elements, and in many cases you don't have all your athletes because of family vacations and the like.  Again, they have their purposes, but in terms of really "testing" your team, that is debatable at the very least.

If you are a spread team or looking to see what your defense can do against the spread, summer scrimmages are great. When you are foot to foot, double tight, double wing, summer scrimmages don't really give you much to go off of. Quick whistle for a pile of bodies that you can't even tell what is happening in the middle of it. Like stated above, it's great for some things, but until you strap them up and go at it under the lights, you never are going to truly know what you have.

Nothing like a strap on in a big pile of bodies. I gotta go
