ptr Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Here's a release on the announcement: The top high school defensive coordinator in North Carolina is the new head football coach at Bloomington North. Former Cougar lineman Andy Harding was lured back from Tarboro, NC and it's ultra-successful program to take over at his alma mater and was officially approved at the MCCSC board meeting on Tuesday, April 28. Harding takes over for Brett Cooper, who left after one season to take over at Class 6A powerhouse Ben Davis. Harding will be the third coach in three years for the Cougars following Scott Bless' retirement. North still went 15-7 the past two seasons. Quote

jets Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Oh lordy ....Ask Coach Sharpe how that went at Noblesville. I wish him nothing but the best As for his preferred style of play, film will show Tarboro playing a lot of run-dominant double-tight T, but the current crop of receivers need not worry. "I believe in running the ball, but I also want to get the ball in the hands of my best players," Harding said. "The double-tight T, I know it, I understand it, I love it. I'll keep expanding it and make it my program. Quote

Oh I'm a fan 100% - what I meant was ask Coach Sharpe how well that was received at Noblesville. (He said as much in his exit interview in the paper that people pushed back against it) Ultimately - if you win enough games - people will shut up. But if you don't, it's an easy scapegoat. 2 Quote

We summer scrimmaged Laporte one year with Coach Sharpe, I think year 2 or 3 at LaPorte.... 12 plays from the 40..... 12 untouched Touchdowns. The definition of the TABLE TOP 7 man FLYING T..... my goodness, it was spectacular ~~ I was like, glad I don't do anything defensively !!! Plus in summer when do it the right way, that is a real real real tough ask for your kids to stay up and all that rightfully so. 1 hour ago, jets said: Ultimately - if you win enough games - people will shut up.
