littledog Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Week 4 is here. North Miami @ North Judson Triton @ South Central Culver @ Winamac Pioneer @ Caston Quote
TightEndOpenAgain Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Jays Trojans Warriors Panthers Congrats to all the winners last week. Culver! Great win. Caston Comets will be a tough out for most! North Judson and Pioneer might struggle to be tested before week 9. Great programs who look good again and again Quote
FarmerFran Posted September 8 Author Posted September 8 North Miami @ North Judson- Jays win big Triton @ South Central- This may be the only opportunity for either team to get a win this year. Give me the Satellites after the drubbing the Trojans took from Culver last week. Culver @ Winamac- Crazy to see what happens when Winamac plays a non MWC team... Warriors bounce back this week over the Cavs. Pioneer @ Caston- Caston is much improved from last year. Their defense is flying around and their massive o-line is paving the way for their backs. Pioneer will have to play a clean game on both sides of the ball to win. I think the Panthers pull out a close on in Fulton. 1 1 Quote
Jays Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Judson - NM lost a lot of talent from last year. Will miss not getting the opportunity to eat a ham salad sammich SCUM - What is going on over in Bourbon? Winamac - Heard the warriors benched their junior QB early vs Pioneer? Pioneer - Caston will hang on until halftime. Quote
littledog Posted September 8 Posted September 8 North Miami @ North Judson-Judson rolls. 42-7 Triton @ South Central- Triton sure seemed to fall off a cliff but still hang on this week. 28-21 Culver @ Winamac- Winamac bounces back after a butt kicking last week. 21-0 Pioneer @ Caston- Caston has a good team but Pioneer will come out with a solid reminder that they are the big dog like they did last week. 35-13 Quote

RingLeader Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Jays no clue both struggling Warriors Young Panthers still finding their way, Comets might have their best team. Quote
footballer_02 Posted Thursday at 02:09 PM Posted Thursday at 02:09 PM North Miami @ North Judson - NM struggling to find a groove right now. Jays win big. 56-6. Triton @ South Central- Triton pulls off the win this week. 35-26. Culver @ Winamac- Winamac pulls away in the second half. 35-14. Pioneer @ Caston- Caston seems to be in the top three this year in the HNAC. Pioneer 42-21. Quote

OOOF Seems to be a recurring theme with NM every year, when they are good or bad. Why do you think that is? Do the kids need to get tougher? Just bad luck for Coach Grant and the Warriors or what? TightEndOpenAgain Posted Friday at 09:34 PM Posted Friday at 09:34 PM Could be a number of things. Who knows? The last few years have been light on injuries. The last heavy year was the 0-10 season of 2021. Went through about 4 quarterbacks that year. It doesn’t seem to affect other sports, so I’d be very hesitant to say the kids need to be tougher. Seems to me the injuries they’ve had the last half decade are an ACL here and a broken collarbone there. Just things you can’t really control when you sign up to play. When the enrollment is down to 250, an injury hurts worse than even a school with 375 1 Quote

NJSP @ Culver- Tough string of games coming up for Culver. Next chance won't be until week 9. 56-0 NM @ Pioneer- Curious to see if NM will be as chippy this week as they were with Judson. 42-6 SCUM @ Caston- Caston wins 55-7. Think they end the season 7-2 Triton @ Winamac- Closest game of the week but Winamac still wins easy. Warrios 34-14 Quote
TightEndOpenAgain Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago North Judson over Culver 55-6 - There’s a lot of speed wearing the blue and gold As a fan, I came away disappointed in the Warriors this past Friday. Not in the score, not even in the 4 turnovers in the first handful of plays, but the chippiness as LD alluded to. I’m not sure if it was frustration boiling over or what. I do know it’s uncharacteristic for the program. As for the game in Royal Center, the defensive backfield better heal up or Popejoy could have a field day. I always look forward to the gas station chicken in Royal Center. Caston over South Central by about however many they want. Winamac over Triton 40-14 before the Warrior bowl next week Liberty Field remains by far my favorite place to catch a high school football game in the area. Really cool atmosphere. The student section and cheerleaders look like they have a great time. The lawn chairs setup around the north end of the track is great. The food vendors.. The loud music…it all makes for an experience you don’t see many other places. You can tell football means a ton to the community, and they certainly have a program they can be proud of! 1 Quote

Judson 46-0 - Could this be the fastest bluejay team ever? Pioneer 38-13 - Pioneer keeps things rolling Caston 52-12 - Will Caston keep their fight after last week? Winamac 48-7 - Winamac rolls Very lopsided week in the HNAC Quote
