itiswhatitis
This was a very entertaining ball game. Of course I'm sorry the Miners lost. They had a couple of chances in regulation to win it, but that's football. Mockobee had 38 carries for 209 yards. At least that is what the announcers said. He was averaging 252 yards per game but on a LOT less carries. The play of the game was what looked like a Linton int but went through the defenders hands and was caught for a HUGE gain with the clock winding down in regulation. Boonville would score, get the 2 and send it to overtime.
Mockstangboyz
Linton boys play hard with passion you could hear them from start to stop. Hats off to that team for their efforts.

No such thing as “moral victories” obviously but at least the naysayers can’t say Linton doesn’t play anyone anymore. This loss, disappointing as it is will only serve to make the program better. If not in the immediate future, then maybe in the coming years as we continue to elevate the program to the next level.
Mockstangboyz
If Boonville didn't come out the 2nd half and once again change up their offense. Linton wins the game.

SEAL_63
Wow what a game. Lots of good film for both teams to build from.
itiswhatitis
This was one of those games, it is a shame someone had to lose. Both teams played hard and seemed to leave it all on the field. Mockobee is as advertised and Navy is getting a good one. Best of luck to him in his future and I am looking forward to watching him on television on Saturday's. And good luck to the Pioneers in the 4A tournament in a few weeks. JeffO2
Linton is definitely getting themselves ready for the playoffs. They're scheduling above their class level in the first half of the season and their young QB will keep getting more experience.
itiswhatitis
One last comment and an FYI: Today, Navy was a touchdown underdog to Tulane. The score at halftime was 24 - 0 Tulane. Final score was 27 - 24, Navy! The rushing game finally got going in the second half and they also had a good passing game which was a surprise. Navy hit a field goal to win it as time was running out. Great comeback win for the Blue and Gold! Again, can't wait to watch Mockobee when he puts on the pads at the academy!!!
