Football Guru 25
Just posted as vacant yesterday, but wondering who might/will apply for this....NIC small school division, haven't had a winning season in years, graduated pretty much 75% of Friday night guys.... Does this sound inviting to an established coach or will a new guy get a chance here?? Edited December 7, 2021 by Football Guru
RetiredCoach91
Being unfamiliar with the job and school, whats the prospect of the job look like? You mention 75% of the Friday guys graduating, but are the participation numbers high enough to field the program's needs? Some coaches view programs as fixable, so the losses might not scare people away if they see potential for improvement there.
MarshallCounty
The right guy can win there, but it has to be someone to grow the foundation. Glenn’s issue is being a 3A school that is really more of a 2A culture. If they had just a few less kids they would be really good 2A in basketball, baseball, and football. They just have an issue with running into Marian, St. Joe, and Jimtown in most sports in tournaments. Good people in Walkerton and North Liberty. ASJCPUMA
It will take the right person for the job to build it from the bottom up Plus they are pulling kids from the SB public schools so if they can be successful who know who could follow Need to build the right culture and the community would support them

LionKing
A couple of coaches a short drive to the east on US6 at Laville that have past ties to JG. I understand Laville's football program is in a better place for the next seeason or two, but long term? I do agree with an earlier post about the path through the tourney for John Glenn being brutal. That 3A sectional is always going to be a tough out with Marian and Jimtown. Very true... wonder if they still associate with JG and new administration (3-4 years) to make this a realistic possibility
