I was called crazy for picking FC big by 3+ TDs providing FC didn't shoot themselves in the foot. The second half could be the opposite, but I'm looking good on my prediction right now.

I’ve been telling people for 3 years that this is a generational SR class. This is the best team I’ve seen here.

North beats East 42-14. That’s six straight wins for them against East and 10 out of the last 11.

Bloomington North trailed BNL 34-14 at one point but now lead the Stars 41-40 with under 3 minutes to play. They scored the go-ahead TD on a 4th down play.

I see that Frozen Tundra says it's a final.

Look for Bloomington South to take over the No. 1 spot in 5A as New Pal loses to East Central, 14-6, unless they bump Cathedral over South or even East Central.

Seymour ties the game 14 3ish minutes to go. Jeff returns the ensuing KO and then gets a PF. PAT from the 18 no good. Seymour gets the ball back and had opportunities to put it in but failed to do so.

Bloomington South is going to win a State Championship eventually. Gabe Johnson is soooo good.

They’re going to have to go through a New Palestine, Cathedral, or East Central to do so. Those three teams will bounce around between 4A, 5A, and 6A but I can’t see all of them out of 5A at the same time.

It happens occasionally, at which point Snider should win 5A but they don’t.

Snider had a historically bad year last year and they should be better this year but may not be back to what they usually are. Word is they’re being negatively impacted by the open transfer rule. Northrop benefitted from it last year and North Side seems to have won the sweepstakes this year. Unfortunately for the Legends, it may not translate to success because they don’t usually have a competent coaching staff nor disciplined players.

Is that the downside to being in a city with multiple programs? Many opportunities to transfer around?

Yeah which is crazy because Snider has a historically strong program and they have a really good coach with a track record of success there.

As far as 5A goes, Cathedral is off to a slow start this season and is 0-2 out of the gate. Interestingly, the Irish are playing an eight-game regular season schedule this season and five of their opponents are out-of-state teams. They will probably be a formidable foe come playoff time.

New Pal was decimated by graduation losses this season and may struggle at times early in the season, but I wouldn't bet the farm they will continue to do so as the season wears on.

South looks like they should be favorites for the rest of their schedule with the exception of their regular season ending game at Center Grove.

South's game against Ironton (OH) H.S. is a real puzzle mark. They are a small school football power of between 400 and 500 students and are located in coal country. They are currently on probation over recruiting violations and were kicked out of last season's postseason playoffs over the violations.  They play an independent schedule and play schools like Big Walnut this season. Ironton is a town of between 10,000 and 11,000, yet their high school team averages 10,000 in attendance to their games, so the whole town pretty much shows up for their games. South will make the almost 300-mile trip there on the same day (Saturday) as the game, and will play the game mid-afternoon, so who knows how sharp they will be going into the game.

Like last season, it looks like it could possibly be another matchup of South and Floyd Central for this season's regional title.
