Maybe not with this site specifically but does it open it up for concerns elsewhere? It's my understanding that the security of the site is the same as before, it's just that the certification had expired and that caused the security alerts. Boilerfan87 has it right, when this happens refresh the page and click "advanced" and then at the bottom you click the item that lets you proceed to the site after another security warning which is actually triggered by the expired expiration date. ptr Posted yesterday at 05:55 PM Posted yesterday at 05:55 PM (edited) I don't know what you are going to do about the pick 'em for this past week. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that everyone that got their picks in had the same teams winning since it was a week of overmatches. You may want to consider not counting that week since it was a wash and there were no variations in selections (unless I'm wrong about that.) Just a suggestion. Yeah my plan (honest to God) was to pick those same four teams. I feel like everyone would’ve because they were the easiest picks of the season. However, I’m willing to disqualify myself from the competition since I didn’t get my picks in on time. I’ll leave that up to everyone else. Rules are rules. I’m good with following them. I’ll leave it up for everyone to decide though. Quote

I get it over rules are rules, but that doesn't take into consideration of the technical issues/glitches that can happen, which prevented some inputs from getting in on time. I got my picks in, but for me personally, I'd hate to see your pick'em contest being, for the lack of a better way of putting it, slanted over a tech issue. Since everyone that got their picks in went with the same selections, I would rather see the week not being counted, which is my view of it. Maybe others see it differently. Quote

It's more for sites where you might enter your credit card or other personal info that leave you vulnerable. 6 hours ago, ptr said: I get it over rules are rules, but that doesn't take into consideration of the technical issues/glitches that can happen, which prevented some inputs from getting in on time. Yeah, it doesn't matter to me. We just do this for fun. The only way I'll hold it against you is in the end in the event of a tiebreaker 😆 Quote
SPARKS Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago My "vote" is to make last week a wash. Don't count last week. And, if a website says there is a security problem, I sure as hell ain't getting near it, back door or front door. 1 Quote

ptr Posted 18 minutes ago Posted 18 minutes ago (edited) Pick'em Selections. BNL @ New Albany BNL should handle the Bulldogs with ease, although I thought the Stars would beat Jeff with ease, which turned out to be a lot closer game than what I expected. After beating a Providence team in the season opener with Providence now at 0-3, the Bulldogs have been outscored 96-0 in their last two games. 'nough said. Floyd Central @ Seymour The Owls are atrocious right now and this game will probably be over with by halftime, with the possibility of a running clock to start the second half. Jennings County @ Columbus East This game has the potential for a blowout. JC is 2-1, but their two wins came against a couple of 2A teams that are currently a combined 1-5 on the season. Their lone loss was to Madison in which they never were in the game, suffering a 42-6 loss. Kokomo @ Jeffersonville Okay, in my mind this is the only competitive game on the schedule this week and it looks to be a difficult choice to make as to who will come out on top. Kokomo is 0-3 right now with two of their losses to a couple of 5A teams by a combined margin of 16 points. Their other loss wasn't a close game. Jeffersonville has shown some pulse on offense and managed to put up 35 points on BNL. Kokomo has to make the almost 170 mile trip to Jeffersonville which could impact their performance, ergo, I'm going with the home team in this one. Edited 17 minutes ago by ptr Quote
