  2. I like your Homestead positioning. North Side gets a bad rap, but I like their upside. If these kids amp it up for Jaylon Smith and play for Ben Johnson's honor, they could be a tough out...........even in the sectional they are in. Jaylon Smith has that likability, similar to Marcus Freeman. Could be interesting.
  3. For what it's worth I fully expect Carroll to crush Homestead twice this season. Once in the regular season and once in the tournament.
  4. Not many worry about Snider anymore, unknown program decline IMO
  5. Looks like cruise control for The Tenderloins until regional.
  6. Riverton Parkes 47 Tri 12. Tenderloins make a statement tonight.
  7. Really? Ryan Day is ahead of him and it’s not close, trust me, I’m not a Buckeye fan either. Body of work alone and there are more ahead of Freeman

  9. I enjoy the content Blitz provides, but I agree, Homestead not in the Top Ten is beyond bizarre. Honestly, I think they would be East Noble. Carroll and Dwenger are a different animal though. Normally they're in a sectional with a couple of HCC teams. Before that, they were in the same sectional as Snider when the Panthers were brutalizing the entire northern part of the state. Homestead's always been good, just not good enough.
  10. I agree, EN or Dwenger should be the North team to get to Lucas

  13. Sparty is and always has been a paper tiger. Look at their history, it’s bad. Playoff time, they are softer than Charmin. They don’t have a chance getting out of sectionals any year. Wake me what that ever happens. Carry on…
  14. Saturday Final 55-27 Reitz over Tri-West
  15. Saw Fairfield run a split back offense. Run the ball. Control clock. Move the chains. Score. Really enjoyed it. Also a very big fan of @Coach Nowlin and the Bombers offense.

  17. I saw that Blitz on outsidethehuddle.net doesn't even have Homestead in the top 10 of his Area Power Poll. That is an egregious of a mistake as I've seen in any poll put out so far this season.

  19. As far as 5A goes, Cathedral is off to a slow start this season and is 0-2 out of the gate. Interestingly, the Irish are playing an eight-game regular season schedule this season and five of their opponents are out-of-state teams. They will probably be a formidable foe come playoff time. New Pal was decimated by graduation losses this season and may struggle at times early in the season, but I wouldn't bet the farm they will continue to do so as the season wears on. South looks like they should be favorites for the rest of their schedule with the exception of their regular season ending game at Center Grove. South's game against Ironton (OH) H.S. is a real puzzle mark. They are a small school football power of between 400 and 500 students and are located in coal country. They are currently on probation over recruiting violations and were kicked out of last season's postseason playoffs over the violations. They play an independent schedule and play schools like Big Walnut this season. Ironton is a town of between 10,000 and 11,000, yet their high school team averages 10,000 in attendance to their games, so the whole town pretty much shows up for their games. South will make the almost 300-mile trip there on the same day (Saturday) as the game, and will play the game mid-afternoon, so who knows how sharp they will be going into the game. Like last season, it looks like it could possibly be another matchup of South and Floyd Central for this season's regional title.

  22. Which I was surprised several posters had Noblesville in a blowout. No love for Homestead up here in NE Indiana. Even the media up here have little faith.
  23. Homestead beat Noblesville last season, plus Noblesville lost every conference game by at least 21 points last season.
  24. 20-14 Reitz 7:00 2Q Tri-West QB scrambled for a 60 yard rushing TD
