I'll bet those houses besides the field are hopping on Friday nights. Looks nice! -
Monshun Sales just committed to IU on the PMS show.

Hearing a lot of good things coming out of Northridge Camp and also some new additions to the roster. Look for big improvements from the Raiders under coach Amstutz. Also hearing the same out of Northwood's camp.

There's nothing that jumps out with North Side as far as a "program" is concerned. That's reserved for schools in NE Indiana like Adams Central, Bishop Dwenger, Bishop Luers, Carroll, East Noble, and Snider...........they've earned it. I will say that North Side has a passionate coach, so best of luck to him. I think the the following resources justify at least a small amount of pre-season hype. Fort Wayne's always been a D1 football factory, but to see this level of talent at North Side is a first for this program, hence the attention it's getting. https://outsidethehuddle.net/2026/06/22/class-of-2028-top-area-prospects/ https://outsidethehuddle.net/2026/02/10/class-of-2027-top-area-prospects/ https://www.on3.com/high-school/north-side-legends-fort-wayne-in-14125/football/roster/ - Yesterday

For context, you aren’t the only person that has hyped them up. You’re the first I’ve seen that has mentioned the number of D1 recruits they have though. Maybe someone else has mentioned it and I’ve missed it. -

A few more power outlets in the press box would be nice LOL! -

I think your issue is that it's been mentioned several times, by me, that North Side had one of the best teams in 5A in 2022. Outside of that, it's been more of............."they're a dangerous program that other teams shouldn't sleep on." If memory serves me correctly, weren't they tied with #1 Concord last year at halftime? Then spent most the second half just one touchdown behind? See what I'm saying here? Disclaimer: I'm not a North Side fan...........at all. For reasons I'd rather not post here. PM's are welcome. I just think having six guys with D1 offers, potentially eight, is worth mentioning in a thread. Maybe someone else should step up to the plate and provide content on this forum. If there was any content at all, I probably wouldn't have even started this thread. I didn't think it was a bad off season topic. -

It looks very nice, but new lights is by far the biggest improvement. -

Nothing is wrong with it unless it becomes a pattern. Then it just gets old. I love seeing new teams in the mix of things at the end. It’s way more interesting to me than seeing the same old teams every year. However, when teams constantly get hyped but never come close to the expectations, it starts to feel like the boy who cried wolf. Maybe this is the year it’s actually legit. I hope so. But they really need to follow through on it because it’s getting old. Just my two cents. -

If they could put a good team together in 2022, perhaps they can put a more talent rich one together in 2026? I get what you and @Komets2727 are saying..........."show me on the field." But what fun is the pre-season without hyping up the lessor programs and making a few bold predictions? -

They had the misfortune of playing the best team in 5A in the 2022 sectional. But to your point, they still lost the game. I get what your saying. All I'm saying is that this is the most talent rich team the program has ever seen, and possibly the most talent rich team in Northern Indiana. We'll just have to wait and see what the coaching staff can do with all this talent. No one is making an insane argument that they are some kind of New Pal or East Central, just stating the facts about the talent level in place. -

It’s been at least five straight years of this. They get hyped up in the preseason about all the talent they have. The media and/or coaches rank them in the top 10 of their class. The fans buy into it. Then what happens? Aside from a good 8-3 season in 2022, absolutely nothing happens. No sectional titles since 1990. No conference titles since 2013. Maybe this is the year for them. If they really do have all these D1 players then that’s awesome. However, let’s see if they can get through sectional 19 first. Dwenger, East Noble, and Leo can make things tough. -
The Reitz Bowl now has new seating all-around the Home Team Section. Looks great! Here's the link to the 360 degree image. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1FSV89F3nZ/

I agree with FT, this insane propping up for North Side is tired and old. That school has done crap to deserve being propped. I don’t care if they have 35 D1 players like Merrillville, until they do something in the playoffs, they are paper tigers.

Wabash River Conference Pre Season Thread
KAllen replied to Donnie Baker's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Here you go, Willyum. ChatGPT WRC games of the week: (intake no credit for the copy and paste) WRC Game of the Week 🏈 Riverton Parke vs. Linton-Stockton (Non-conference) The best opening-week game involving a WRC school. Excellent measuring stick for both programs. 🏈 Seeger at Benton Central One perennial contenders with playoff aspirations and one school looking to rebound with a new HOF Coach . This should be one of the better pure football games before conference races heat up. 🏈 Parke Heritage at South Vermillion A good early conference matchup between two teams looking to climb the standings. 🏈 Riverton Parke vs. Seeger One of the premier conference games every season. Physical, well-coached football. 🏈 Covington at Parke Heritage Big rivalry feel and likely important for the middle of the WRC race. 🏈 Seeger at Fountain Central Historically one of the conference's most competitive matchups. 🏈 North Vermillion at Fountain Central A matchup that often has conference and sectional implications. 🏈 Parke Heritage at Riverton Parke Parke County bragging rights. Always one of the biggest crowds in the WRC. 🏈 Riverton Parke vs. Covington A strong candidate to decide the conference championship if both teams take care of business during the season.
