I really slept good las night! That game wore me out! It's after 10 and I haven't had breakfast yet! This Irish fan is proud of the Hoosiers!

The level of disrespect all year to the Hoosiers by some of the media was just astounding. Who the “experts” pick means nothing as to who wins the game, but all of the college game day crew except McAfee picked Miami. Ridiculous

4th and 5, no problem! What a gutsy call and what a gutsy run! Charlie Becker with a couple of clutch catches! The defense getting out of the prevent at the end and putting on the pass rush! It was all good!

He's a redshirt freshman. As 23 stated, the plan was to use Hoover for one year, and continue his Alberto's development, then assuming Alberto earns it, would give him 2 years as a starter. Now, perhaps he can get a bigger paycheck, as rumors indicate he may be heading to Georgia Tech. Perhaps he would get on the field quicker, not sure. It would be big shoes to fill at IU, and comparisons to his brother would be rough.

As an Armchair Quarterback and Bears fan probably since before you were born I am eminently qualified to criticize Mr. William's QB fundamentals, or lack thereof. We get it Mr. Nowlin, as a high school coach you think you know more about football than anybody else here. But you don't.

I’m out of kudos….so thumbs up for your post. My first game at Memorial Stadium was 1976, watching a tough loss to North Carolina State 24-21. I was in 7th grade. Never ever did I think this could happen in my wildest dreams. 16-0, National Champs, Big 10 Champs, Rose Bowl Champs, and Heisman Trophy winner. Don’t wake me up! I’m enjoying this dream!!!

I don't fault anyone for their picks before the game. IU wasn't the only team playing with a chip on their shoulder. Miami also had something to prove, and in the end, it's why those two programs were playing for the hardware. Football is a game of inches, and that game could have gone either direction. IU won the first half, Miami controlled the second half. The difference in the game was a blocked punt for a touchdown. I really do feel that the better team found a way to win, so I'm taking nothing away from the Hoosiers. I'm just defending they guys who picked a team that was playing with the furry of a hurricane. Miami proved last night that they are clearly the second best team in the country among those invited to the playoffs. I also think some of those guys were just trying to offer an alternate perspective considering most throughout the country were calling for an IU win, a potential blowout, and a heavy favorite in Las Vegas. In the end, Indiana will be remembered, probably more so than any other championship team. And the movie they end up making out of it will ensure that no one forgets.

All is good now! The state of Indiana has a new National Champion! Real life does suck sometimes at my age though.
