  1. As always, discipline will be their downfall along with poor line play…

  2. Yes, basically. The function of educating a child should 100% be the financial responsibility of the parent or parents. Under a truly free market system of education they would be able to choose and pay for the education they feel is best for their children and their pocketbook. Any government funded K-12 education would be for poverty cases, and minimal at best. Most if not all could be funded by private charity, not taxpayer dollars.

  3. I guess one could say these were dick moves.

  4. And their last defeat only cost them $1. Interesting footnote. Kessler represented the NFL in the case against Maurice Clarett. He is basically trying to reverse the same rule he argued for to keep Clarett out.

  5. Good. That’s the way it should be. Private schools need to get their funds privately. This is two-fold. It allows taxpayer money to go toward public education and it keeps government from having any sort of influence on educational institutions that aren’t associated with government. Want to center your education around religious beliefs? Good. You should. But if you take money from the government, don’t be upset when they start trying to tell you how to do things. In other words, if you borrow money from the mob then don’t be surprised when they come to collect.

  6. RP - Safe to say its a state championship or bust for the Panthers. I think they will easily be the best team in the south. No one in the WRC will be within a running clock in the second half. Can they live up to the hype??? PH - I love what Rector is doing at PH. He's building a program the right way. He had to clean up a bunch of crap when he took over this program and it's only getting better with him leading it. They return a lot of big lineman. Heck they return a lot of everyone. Look for a huge improvement from the Wolves this year. Covington - Another group that will return a lot of upperclassmen. I think Wheeler has this program going in the right direction. The only question is will the kids and the community buy into the football program? Seeger - Cronk returns! I think they lost a lot of players from the 9-2 squad last year. Might be an up and down season this year but they will be rolling by the end of the season and going into next year. FC - Tough loss for the mustangs. Losing the best player in the conference before the season even starts is not a great way for the "hall of famer Jacob Earl" to start his coaching career. It will be a tough season for the Mustangs and I could see them finishing even lower but we'll see what the Mustangs can do. SV - A good young core that will only continue to get better. One of the better athletes in the conference in their qb Shryock. I look for him to have a big season and possibly go for 1000 in both passing and rushing. I just don't think all the pieces are there yet. NV - After a tough season last year and with the departure of Crabtree I think the Falcons will find their new identity and compete in a couple games this year. I don't know Coach Crum at all but I do believe in the athletic director at NV and I know he picked the right guy. NV will be much more competitive this year and I think they are one year away from competing for the top half again. Hinchee is going to be a stud. Attica - Could see them start the year off 2-0 and then it'll be tough. They are similar to NV as they will be in a couple closer games this year. They do return a lot from last years squad so I could see them bumped up even two more spots.
