also see Bluffton above LCC... says to me that LCC will be easier to beat than Bluffton...

Exactly... The Red Knights have double everything the Blue Knights have... AND r SAC Co-Champs!! Don't care what stats r put up... this is a huge hill for the Blue Knights to climb..... keeping it close b awesome...

Was discussing this two with some LCC dads at half.  Reminded us of when Denhart was LCC's QB.  He would never take off past the LOS when he was flushed and, despite his arm and receivers, defenses stayed disciplined and didn't come off the backs when he'd move out of the pocket.  Made it easier to have impact on LCC's passing game.  After at least a season, they finally got Denhart to takeoff.  He didn't gain a lot of yards on the ground, but the fact that teams now had to worry about him doing so meant his passing stats benefited greatly.  Hoping Metzger will see the same.

Nice seeing the switching, just about every play, between Page and Meister during the second half of the game.  Fresh legs and slightly different running style made it harder for LaVille to control for the run.

Bingo! Vrs Rodchester he easily could hav taken off for at least one major 1st down.. on 4th down.. keeping the drive alive!! ... maybe one or 2 more... hopefully he understands better now.. what just the threat of that can do to how opposing D backs make decisions....

This was one game. 6-0 deep into third so Laville was never out of it. Yes their O struggled but LCC wasn't lighting up the scoreboard either.

Laville gave Knox better game than WL did and WL throttled LCC.  All kind of relative as one game isn’t always the tell all.  Good job by LCC and coach Nay to get it done in Regional.

Interesting  game for sure.. the Lcc D bucked up n was the shinnig star..   LaVile for the most part took away the Lcc pass attack... after forcing some throws n 2 int's the QB fig it was better to take off....  something I've not seen him do much... the Lcc O then went to the run game with success... nice adj by Lcc giving em control of the game....

I think you misunderstood what I was saying.  I was basically saying (in this instance) that I wish that LaVille fan would have realized that LCC has "played big boy" football.. playing the schedule and the teams they do makes them prepared for "big boy" football.

What makes you think LaVilles new schedule won't help them that much?

Valley is an upgrade compared to any HNAC school. Jimtown, Glenn and Bremen would compete against every HNAC team and would beat most.

Well....is what it is...ther always a bigger fish in the pond....The Blue Knights now get the SAC Co-Champ Red Knights on thier hm field...... dont look good... Dose it??

So another low scoring 1 score win by Lutheran from what I saw posted. What's the story on the Saints? Sandbagging to keep their guys in shape all 4 quarters? Opponents really good & surviving? Beginning of the year they were hammering great teams. I suspect a lot of saving it up for the big game.

No... something is wrong at Luthern... Harrels shows them not playing 2 games in Oct??  They look like they're on their way out da door...... this is the Jets yr.... jmho

  6. their is another level of football in Lafayette area then our friends farther north.

Nice catch Coach... most r unaware of the deep Fb history of the area... Ther r still decendants, of the Coach, of the Great Jim Thrope who played at Pine Village, not far from WL. before moving to Chicago. Chicago Cardinals I believe at that time... befor the move to St Louis... That family were all pretty good Athleles themselves... Area ties to the sport run deep.... Predate the NFL...  And Now U Know The Rest of The Story!  PH Good Day!

How do you figure, they're not good?

I guarantee no one from Lcc is underestimating the Lancers... they ran right over the 56ers... n Lcc got run over by the Zebras ...dont think the Zrbras ever did punt ... I suspect both will b adding some Offensive twists this week... but think Lcc is gonna hav ta buck up on D n get some stops to pull out the win...

LCC more than likely will have to drive the ball.  Of Plummer’s 52 kickoffs 30 have been touchbacks.  His leg in kicking game cannot be over-stated.

Laville has dudes no question about it.  Very physical team.  I expect Laville will look to pound the ball and throw over the top when opportunity arises.

LCC is more of a finesse team from games I’ve seen. Can Laville generate pressure on Metzger and/or cover on the backend.  With Plummer and Czarnecky in secondary Laville has size and playmakers there.  Should be a great match up.

I'd normally agree about field position being a key component ... giving ur opponent short fields is Not Good... but it appears to me this Lcc O is savy enuff to strike quickly from anywhere on the field... as u say...should b a great chess match with these two each attempting to isolate/neutralize the playmakers of the other...

  9. Home field advantage can't b understated... The 1st 4 1A Titles all went to the hm team before moving to a neutral site... personally I think Lcc loses that game if it wasn't at hm....

Laville caught Andrean on a perfect night. Light rain, torn up field, really leveled the athleticism advantage I think Andrean had over Laville. I don't think Laville will be getting that lucky this week.

Yes...def not ideal... However LaVille Can pass the ball... had the Zebra Qb been able to hit an open receiver in the West End Zone.. Lcc dose not advance...
