I guess it depends on what your kids' goals are... most club sports are their ticket to recruiting, thus scholarships.
This is why football is king, however there are people trying to kill it with travel as well!

Memorial, MD, Csstle will be the teams to watch. Jasper, any Wildcat fans care to comment. Reitz and VL will be interesting. Harrison and Bosse will struggle, but Bosse will be slight better
You have a rather large omission on this list!

Oh boy, is that a warning! Hmmm....
i am not sure what you mean with that response? I just mean Marian is a really good football team, and that might be one of the best games of the week.

Watching Marian the last couple weeks, I would not say that Chatard winning on Friday is a forgone conclusion.

I think that you could easily put some locations on standby so that they are ready if and when things play out. Here would be how I could see this Saturday shaping up if it were done this way.
@ BHSN - MD v WEBO followed by Castle v Cathedral
@ BHSS - CC v WW followed by SR v Danville
@ Kokomo - LCC v SA followed by Pioneer v Luers
@ Logansport - Chatard v Marian followed by Hobart v Marion
@ L. Jeff - Zionsville v Valpo followed by Westfield v Merriville
@ Carmel - Mooresville v Roncalli followed by CG v BD
It is not perfect, but it could certainly be done. I believe that it would be to the benefit of every school involved and not based on ping pong balls dictating where someone is playing at this point of the season. Every game is on Saturday, and start times are 4:30 / 7 or 5 / 7:30.

Football guys must be spoiled. Wrestlers make that trip for a 7:30 am Saturday meet.
It has failed some wrestlers as well.

The catholic schools in Evansville both have VERY nice turf fields equipped with scoreboards and lights. However neither facility is suited for higher than a JV contest.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbors? It’s not over until Tuts and Minor Prides say it is.
STATE LAW!
I cannot figure out why you are mixing Donnie with Squirrelly Dan from Letterkenny. When did Donnie Baker start adding "s" to the end of random words.

Curious to see how much of a difference Javonte Madison makes tonight, as he did not dress against Jasper in the first meeting (ankle). He has been the difference for them the last two weeks offensively, and his abilities on the defensive side are well documented.
-
I would argue that Ev. Central Could be thrown into that 4A group as their defense is ELITE.

Is this for Indiana HS players only? Or can someone from Illinois attend?
This is for anyone. Based on the state of football in Illinois, we actually have a high number of registrants from Illinois already coming.
-
We have numerous scholarship colleges and universities that have confirmed they will be in attendance. I will post a list of confirmed schools when we get closer to the camp date. Check it out soon as the price is about to go up again soon!

I guess a free or reduced-price education isn't good enough anymore.
Of course not, when it is the exact same deal that you are going to get from other schools. That part is equal.

LOL. I assumed everyone would know Enlow Field, seeing that it's the best stadium in Evansville... And did anyone notice Coach Robbins? LOL.
I jus had to get that shot in! I am a big fan of Coach Robbins, as he has been a great advocate of mine!

I attended twenty or so years, pre-class basketball, of sectionals at Memorial Gymnasium in Kokomo. I would call that venue, while certainly one of Indiana's basketball palaces, anything but "neutral". From the allocation of tickets to the officiating..................
Touche ... There are certainly exceptions, and most of those are at the sectional level. Beyond the sectional, sites are "mostly" completely neutral.

There will NEVER be neutral site regional and semistate playoffs because the IHSAA needs to make money and making both teams travel will limit the amount of people who will attend.
Why make 2 teams travel when only one has to.?
And who will pay the neutral site to host. No neutral school is doing it for free.
Your claims assume that there are no other models to use as an example.
1. If you use the IHSAA state basketball tournament as the example, EVERY round of the tournament is played at neutral sites.
2. The hosting school keeps 100% of the concession revenue, which at a packed facility, which is hosting 4 schools rather than 2 is a considerable amount.
3. Both teams travel because each team earned the right to play at that level and there should not be some type of home field advantage.
4. There is a strong argument that attendance would/could be greater if each team has a similar distance to travel. Plus you add in the interest of fans whose teams are no longer playing, that will want to attend the games between two high level teams.
There are plenty of benefits to playing neutral site games.

Spare me that DT is the victim in all this
I never used the word victim, as he is not a victim. However, it seems that as time passes, people whose opinions do not fit the narrative of the masses are not engaged with in discussion. Rather, they are attacked for being a dissenter. Do you want me to apologize for feeling different? I like that he posts things that drive discussion. I wish that I had more time to engage in banter about these topics, but I do not. I just enjoy reading his take, but honestly when all of the responses are that you suck, you are wrong, or OMG, I cannot believe that you think that, it gets really boring.

Nothing wrong with disagreement. But DT chose to take his ball and go home. Not any of our faults he can't handle it.
Big difference with disagreeing and attacking. Many, many posters on here that want to attack someone who has a differing opinion, rather than offer up alternatives or banter back and forth.

Imagine if you @DT were not seen as the thin skinned one, and rather, all of the people whose feelings get hurt just read your commentary for what it is. I do not agree with a lot of what you post, but that is actually a good thing. We need more positive disagreements in our society, rather than the, "You are wrong, you suck, so shut up and go away!" mentality that has infiltrated so many areas of our lives. Imagine where our game would be today if there were never any dissenters and everyone was ok with just going with the flow. Kuddos to you and your unpopular opinions Mr. @DT!

Spots are filling up quickly! We have 120 players registers over two months ahead of the event! Going to be massive!
-
Enlow Stadium is ready for football, and spectators! They have done a fantastic job getting it ready to go, and finally with the money they poured into it, this time maybe it will continue to be cared for like it always should have!
