  1. Darrin Fisher's Whiteland offense would be an intriguing and unique fit at Noblesville and in the HCC.
  2. Best jobs: The big 4 of the MIC (Carmel, CG, WC, BD) Catholic school powers (Roncalli, Chatard, Cathedral, Fort Wayne Dwenger, Luers, Memorial) Rural-type powers (Linton, Pioneer, Gibson Southern, Heritage Hills, East Central, etc) Penn and Mishawaka (Good administrations and fan support) Sleeping Giants: Zionsville, Noblesville, Warsaw, Elkhart Consolidated, and Franklin Central.
  3. Yeah, you're totally right. I spaced on that. I think LCC and Guerin play for a Bishop's trophy? @foxbat may have more details about that.
  4. Who was your other miss? Delta wasn't a bad thought at all though. I really thought they'd get to Regionals against East Noble.
  5. In all reality, where does Roncalli go from here? I've seen people demanding the school close down or the entire administration/coaching staff get relieved. I know rumors are not talk on the GID, but would people actually want this job given what's happened at the school in the last 18 months?
  6. It is kinda funny to see that the last two coaches at Noblesville have gone on to better jobs: Simmons to BD and Roden to Oak Hills (OH). If a coach goes 4-6 or 5-5 there consistently, they might build him a statue. But a school with over 3,000 students and high-level success in all sports, but football, SHOULD attract some big-names to coach there. CG assistants have tried to implement the CG way at different places throughout the years and there has been little to no success trying that (Harbin at Franklin, Mallory at LN) but I think it would be very interesting if that type of offense does go to the HCC.
  7. In Indianapolis, each side of town has several feeder Catholic Schools that feed into the Archdiocesan High Schools. Southside-St. Barnabas, Saint Rose of Lima, St. Jude, St. Mark, St. Roch, Our Lady of Greenwood, St. Francis/St. Claire, Nativity, Central Catholic, Holy Name go into Roncalli. Eastside- Our Lady of Lourdes, Catholic Academies, Little Flower, Holy Spirit Indy, St. Lawrence, St. Michael (Greenfield) go into Scecina. Westside--St. Monica, St. Michael's, Holy Angels, St. Gabriel, St. Malachy (Not very knowledgable on the Westside lol) go into Ritter Northside---Immaculate Heart, St. Pius, Christ the King, St. Louis de Monfort, Our Lady of Carmel, St. Simon, Holy Spirit Geist, St. Luke, St. Matthew, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Maria Goretti, Our Lady of Grace (Noblesville), go into Guerin or Chatard... But really any Catholic school student can go anywhere they'd like, but mainly you see students stay on their side of town. However, Brebeuf and Cathedral realistically pull their students from all sides of town and these feeder schools.
  8. Has there been any other situations like this at Indiana HS's in the last several years? I just wonder if the IHSAA will have to step in or if Roncalli, or the Archdiocese, will administer punishments themselves to the administrators involved? I just feel for this poor kid. All he wanted to do was be a Rebel and it's forever taken away from him. Hopefully he can find the comfort and peace in a new situation.
  9. Great points man. Didn't he start against Noblesville and Trinity this year before injuries sidelined him? I remember Quigley starting a few games in the tournament his sophomore year, or am I wrong on that? But agreed, if they can't run the ball, it's going to be a long night forsure. That's what CG did to BD last Friday, making Gipson throw 42 times (albeit a lot of those were quick screens and quick game throws.) Believe #10 Hassel (IMO is one of the best backs in the state) had less than 10 carries.
  10. Thank you for this! Glad to see there's a few people on here who want to talk game related stuff, not the relative geography of HSE and Carmel. As one of the few Carmel posters on the site, how much does Quigley playing change the dynamics of the Carmel O?
  11. You would think Chatard has been hit pretty hard all year by the following teams: 4A Sectional Champion (Roncalli), 5A Sectional Champ (Cathedral), 5A Regional Champ (Bloomington South), 3A 12-2 Regional Champ Marian, and a 6A Southport team that went 7-4 and lost to BD in the sectional championship... But @HHPatriots thinks their tackling is the second-coming of the '85 Bears.
  12. I believe you're mistaking Chatard for the other Northside Catholic school on 56th Street. Just take a look at the roster that was posted in the thread, 95% of the team is from Archdiocese schools on the Northside of Indy. Take your slander elsewhere.
  13. An interesting sub-plot to the game is how well does Quigley play QB for Carmel on Saturday? Carmel had found a formula with Williams at QB, just wearing down defenses with their 3-headed rushing attack and being able to hit well on the intermediate pass game. Quigley has started quite a few games throughout his career, so he definitely has talent and the experience to get the job done for the Greyhounds. Maybe Williams does play Sat night, but he did not play on Friday night against Merrillville.
  14. Yep, he'll be playing Saturday. He had 21 carries against Warren in Regionals and 20 carries vs Ben Davis in Semistate. Those were his first two games of the season.
  15. The torch has been passed?! 😂 I think it's more that the Big 4 of the MIC are so competitive year-in and year-out, that there's no true dominant program in 6A. In the last 6 years of 6A: Ben Davis: 2 Championships (Lost in Semistate this year) Warren Central: 2 Championships (Lost in Regionals this year) Center Grove: 1 Championship (Opportunity for #2) Carmel: 1 Championship (Opportunity for #2)
  16. Instead of talking about an extremely well-played football game between rivals, we're talking about attendance.... but whatever helps you all sleep at night. I'm more interested in talking about the actual game played on the field on a FOOTBALL website but I digress. Kudos to CG's defense and their absolute wrecking-crew of a DL last Friday night, but Ben Davis was just as equally physical and making big plays defensively.
  17. I'll take.... CG: 13 Carmel: 10 I really don't know how Carmel will be able to finish drives against CG's defense. Those two sophomore DL for CG are absolute animals. #91 had 4 TFL's against BD on Friday. Obviously, Carmel's D is for real but CG's offense with #13, #8, #5, and #30 can hit explosive plays at any point. I'm tired of hearing how since these two teams have played each other before in the state championship, this will be a boring game. This will be a defensive slugfest with PLENTY of high-level talent on the field.
  18. Heritage Hills-42 Danville-7 Danville can go enjoy some Mayberry's next Friday night while HH and Chatard battle in a darn good matchup at LOS.
  19. Tomatoes, tomatos. Can't we all just get along?
  20. Apparently people can't spell the names of P/P schools either. Chalk it up to another P/P inherent advantage.
  21. Can't ever go wrong with Evil Czech. Original, delicious food, tasty beer, and it's only like a 10 min drive to Marian too.
  22. Due to Elkhart consolidating into one HS, Zionsville will be bumped down into 5A North, and Elkhart HS gets moved up to 6A for 2020. Zionsville will be in Sectional 12 with Harrison (WL), Kokomo, and McCutcheon. But for the next enrollment cycle in 2021, I definitely foresee Zionsville staying in 6A for good.
  23. It was not. Believe this was one was between 2012-2014 @ Roncalli.
  24. If memory serves me right, I remember a team tossing Chatard's hammer after Chatard placed it on the opponents 49 yard line in pre-game warm-ups. Terrible, terrible decision by the opponent.
  25. From the guy that was talking about Danville's superiority over Chatard and posted a Fake FG highlight from Danville's win in '17. Something smelly real fishy here....
