i think the closest game this week is a win by 3 scores. The rest will likely be running clocks. Caston wins 42-6 NJ wins 40-0 Pioneer wins. The only potential good game. Pioneer seems to be back to being a well oiled machine. 35-14 Triton wins 36-6
-
Did not realize this, if so it's a huge loss for the jays.
-
Caston at Pioneer- Pioneer wins this by 4 scores. Caston looks to be coming up and had a great showing last week again NM but Pioneer seems to be back to old ways. Panthers 35-7 North Judson at North Miami- Game of the week! Judson still has several things to work on but are getting healthy. QB/FB mess is still a tad slow but both are young and making progress. North Miami essentially returns everyone from last years team. Think their experience keeps it close for a while but Judson pulls it out. 28-14 SC at Triton- Game is over early. SClooking like their only chances of wins are in week 8 or 9. 42-8 Winamac at Culver- Going into the year I thought Winamac would win this game easily but so far they've seen to backtrack. Just guessing here, Culver 20-19
-
Carroll at Caston-hearing good things about Caston but Carroll remains consistent. 28-14 Culver at Attica- I expect Attica to be bad again. 35-0 Cavs Cass at Pioneer- Pioneer makes it 3 in a row against the kings. 42-20 Panthers North Judson at Knox- Judson is a long shot to win and understandably the underdog here to this mighty Knox team but I don't pick against the jays. 29-27 jays North Miami at Northfield- NM comes out ready to send a message to 1A. 42-7 NM Triton at LaVille- Laville comes out for revenge. 28-17 Lancers Wheeler at South Central- Wheeler by a few scores 35-13 Winamac at West Central- Winamac starts this year 2-0. 28-7

I could almost see a split but doubt it. Glenn will win by a few scores Not sure what Bremen will look like with new staff but I think Busco wins this one by a score or 2. Jimtown wins easily Knox has their team of the century and Judson lost a bunch from their state team but if their young guys do enough on offense they have a chance. TV will be solid again but I think Plymouth takes them. Plymouth seems to be slowly turning things around over there. Laville wins. They want revenge from last year and new coach at Triton leads to a few early jitters and mistakes

Any big changes for any teams this offseason? Looks like several teams have a pretty big game week 1 vs a tough opponent or a big rivarly game.
-
Knox has to be the favorite. If they can get someone else to step up and be a distraction on offense they'll be a tough out this post season.
-
I'd say it's probably the same top 4 teams as last year. I keep waiting for Winamac to make a jump but they still haven't. Judson won't be as good as last year but if they can get a few guys to step up in areas they are losing they will once again be a top team in 1A. They have plenty of size and talent. Look for Pioneer to be a tough out this year. Think this is the year they finally get back to their standards. North Miami had several down years there in athletics but I believe they are now here to stay. They had a solid team last year and I look for them to be decent this year too.

Congrats to all that made All-Conference. Little surprised they named CJ as the Defensive MVP (just cuz he's a junior) but like i said earlier in the year I think he's the best player in the conference next year.

1A Tournament Discussion
littledog replied to Jays's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
My guess is he was playing with something broke or something that would normally put you out a month or 2. It killed our offense the last 2 weeks but we were overcome it at semi- state. At state it killed us on both sides of the ball because not only does he make our offense go, he typically covered sideline to sideline on defense. -

lol they gave up like 48 passing yards. Now did the QB run all over them? Yes, yes he did. jays had a horrible first half and still ended up making it a game. If they are healthy I think the outcome is much different but Providence played one heck of a game and earned the win. -

#7 sure is tough. Judson not able to overcome the slow start in the first half. Heck of a season. -

Yeah that was a momentum killer. With a hurt QB I fear the jays don’t have enough weapons on the outside to score quick enough. -

Should of just stuck with what my gut was telling me. Anyone have the scoop on Providence? -
This team is obviously impressive but you can see how much Lambert and his staff have grown as coaches. They work their butts off and continue to improve each year.

Semi State 3a Luers vs. Garrett
littledog replied to MikeTyson15's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I agree. Think Luers has the horses to keep up on the trenches too. And I doubt luers is as bad as Knox at defending the pass. -
Think the jays handle their business and win this game by a 3-4 scores. They’ve been so focused on one goal since the season came to an end last year. This will be a tough game since you don’t see many 1A teams that can sling it like they can. It may take a couple of drives for them to adjust but Lambert and Co are great at making adjustments. jays win 63-28.

3a Tourney Predictions

Garrett struggling with Knox offense… funny -
North Judson at Taylor- Taylor has had one heck of a turn around for their program. They have great athletes at QB and RB and at other skills positions as well. They aren't great up front but they use their screen game well to slow down the defensive pressure. I think they get a score or two before the jays make their adjustments but not much more than that. Jays win 52-14 North Miami at South Adams- I think South Adams is very similar to Taylor in regards to their main strength is at the skill positions. I caught the second half of their game against MG and came out really impressed with the QB for SA. One of the better throwers I've seen at the 1A level in a while! Hoping North Miami wins but I think SA wins this shootout. SA 42-35

Extremely surprised by the pioneer score. Figured Taylor would score some points on them but expected the Panthers to be able to move the ball however they wanted.
-
LaVille at North Judson- Every year this is a tough battled game and both teams are a much improved team since their week 2 matchup. Hopefully judson does not overlook them but my belief is that Judson will continue to handle their business. Weird things always happen at LaVille... Jays win 30-14 Taylor at Pioneer- Taylor has certainly had an up and down season and seems like a team that can surprise anyone. Pioneer has had a quietly good season that has gone under the radar to anyone outside the HNAC conference until last Friday's beatdown of Carrol. Both teams have great athletes at QB but Pioneer's discipline makes the difference. Panthers win 35-14 Triton at North Miami- Both of these teams have been playing well since their last matchup. Think this game is truly a toss up. It may depend on which team gets distracted by the Ham salad sandwhiches on the sideline. 🤣 Triton wins 22-21

I surprisingly agree with 2 of your posts today. however, he won’t be the best player in the conference next year. He may be the best “skill” player but I’m taking CJ Sanchez as the best overall player next year.
