  1. Agree with you. SP wins this game easily and don't think the score will be close.
  2. I think he breaks it this week. The only concern for this game is how Knox's defense fairs against Griffith's offense. I think they get the job done but could be a high scoring affair!
  3. Laville at North judson- Glad this game is at NJ, weird things tend to happen when played at LaVille. Judson better bring their A game because LaVille may be one of the hottest teams in 1A right now. Still think the jays win. 24-14 Frontier at Pioneer- #2 vs #3. Could be a big game but i think Pioneer wins this by 3ish scores. It's impressive what Coach Barron has done there at Frontier but tthey don't have teams like Pioneer in the MWC. 49-21 Southwood at North Miami- NM should win this one. Southwood could make it a game for a bit but NM pulls away shortly after half. 28-7 Triton at Fremont- Fremont has lost to anyone wiht a decent record so their record is a little misleading. As long as the Trojans don't spend too much on next weeks prep they should win easily. 31-7
  4. It seems like the majority of teams have adopted these from what I have witnessed. Once tournament time comes around they often switch back to old school.
  5. Fairly certain he tore his ACL and possibly a few things but I could be wrong.
  6. No sir. LaVille coming in playing some good ball after being battle tested in a 3a conference all season long. Judson beat them by 1 score in week 2 but it's been a long time since then. I have all the faith in the world in Lambert to have the boys prepared and ready to play but kids are kids... Maybe the Pioneer butt kicking last week will be a good reminder they have to come out ready to play from the jump.
  7. Laville at Culver: LaVille coming into the sectional playing great football and may be the sectional favorite, Culver can hang their hat on their upset win over Caston. 35-0 NJSP at SCUM: Battle of the abbreviations ends in a blowout. NJ better bring their A game against LaVille or they will be going home early for the first time since 2020. 52-12 Pioneer at Caston: Pioneer is focused and on a mission since last years sectional meltdown. 34-0 Carroll at Winamac: Winamac's season comes to an end. Curious to see if this will be the end of Burgess' time at Winamac. 41- 13 North Miami at Northfield: NM has the best draw of the sectional. Shoudl cruise into the championship week when they'll face either Triton or Fremont. 52-6 Southern Wells at Triton: Triton should win but Southern wells does play a tough scheduled so they are battle tested. They'll have a tough matchup next week with Fremont. 20-7
  8. The game was what i expected. I figured Judson would have a hard time trying to stop the panthers on D. Jays shot themselves in the foot early but Pioneer came out and dominated them. Do think Christensen came in and game them a spark at the QB position and i liked what i saw there. We'll see if they stick with that or continue with Harper.
  9. Culver at North Miami - NM wins easily. May start slow due to looking at next weeks matchup but Culver can't matchup with the Warriors. 35-6 North Judson at Caston- Loved the effort from NJSP last week after an ugly game verse Triton the week before. Caston may get a score but not much more. 40-7 Triton at Pioneer- I think it'll be close for most of the game with senior night and the amount of distractions. However, Pioneer pulls away late in the 3rd and Tritons lack of offensive firepower is their undoing. 35-14 Winamac at South Central- Warriors 35-0
  10. Caston at Triton- I get talked up on Caston every year and then they come out and lay an egg like last week. Triton is too much for the Comets. 34-0 NJSP at Winamac- Even with Judson's lack of offensive flow I think they beat the Warriors with a running clock. I would like to see Christensen sprinkled in more throughout this game at QB for an added wrinkle and see how that can help them. Lambert knows his team best though. 33-6 North Miami at South Central- NM has their subs in at the half. 56-8 Pioneer at Culver- Culver had a good win last week but Pioneer is the team to beat this year in the HNAC and possibly the 1A North. 56-0
  11. There isn't much place for any of the teams to go. If one were to leave to a bigger conference they would more than likely get beat up in the other sports too badly.
  12. Top 4 teams in the conference just seperate themselves way too much from the rest of the conference. From the outside looking in people often wonder why the teams haven't made the move but from all other sports the conference is mostly competitive across the board. I think Triton and NJ can end up being a close one. Judson's young guns are still figuring things out offensively but if they put it together I see them winning by a few scores.
  13. i think the closest game this week is a win by 3 scores. The rest will likely be running clocks. Caston wins 42-6 NJ wins 40-0 Pioneer wins. The only potential good game. Pioneer seems to be back to being a well oiled machine. 35-14 Triton wins 36-6
  14. Did not realize this, if so it's a huge loss for the jays.
  15. Caston at Pioneer- Pioneer wins this by 4 scores. Caston looks to be coming up and had a great showing last week again NM but Pioneer seems to be back to old ways. Panthers 35-7 North Judson at North Miami- Game of the week! Judson still has several things to work on but are getting healthy. QB/FB mess is still a tad slow but both are young and making progress. North Miami essentially returns everyone from last years team. Think their experience keeps it close for a while but Judson pulls it out. 28-14 SC at Triton- Game is over early. SClooking like their only chances of wins are in week 8 or 9. 42-8 Winamac at Culver- Going into the year I thought Winamac would win this game easily but so far they've seen to backtrack. Just guessing here, Culver 20-19
  16. Carroll at Caston-hearing good things about Caston but Carroll remains consistent. 28-14 Culver at Attica- I expect Attica to be bad again. 35-0 Cavs Cass at Pioneer- Pioneer makes it 3 in a row against the kings. 42-20 Panthers North Judson at Knox- Judson is a long shot to win and understandably the underdog here to this mighty Knox team but I don't pick against the jays. 29-27 jays North Miami at Northfield- NM comes out ready to send a message to 1A. 42-7 NM Triton at LaVille- Laville comes out for revenge. 28-17 Lancers Wheeler at South Central- Wheeler by a few scores 35-13 Winamac at West Central- Winamac starts this year 2-0. 28-7
  17. I could almost see a split but doubt it. Glenn will win by a few scores Not sure what Bremen will look like with new staff but I think Busco wins this one by a score or 2. Jimtown wins easily Knox has their team of the century and Judson lost a bunch from their state team but if their young guys do enough on offense they have a chance. TV will be solid again but I think Plymouth takes them. Plymouth seems to be slowly turning things around over there. Laville wins. They want revenge from last year and new coach at Triton leads to a few early jitters and mistakes
  18. Any big changes for any teams this offseason? Looks like several teams have a pretty big game week 1 vs a tough opponent or a big rivarly game.
  19. Knox has to be the favorite. If they can get someone else to step up and be a distraction on offense they'll be a tough out this post season.
  20. I'd say it's probably the same top 4 teams as last year. I keep waiting for Winamac to make a jump but they still haven't. Judson won't be as good as last year but if they can get a few guys to step up in areas they are losing they will once again be a top team in 1A. They have plenty of size and talent. Look for Pioneer to be a tough out this year. Think this is the year they finally get back to their standards. North Miami had several down years there in athletics but I believe they are now here to stay. They had a solid team last year and I look for them to be decent this year too.
  21. Congrats to all that made All-Conference. Little surprised they named CJ as the Defensive MVP (just cuz he's a junior) but like i said earlier in the year I think he's the best player in the conference next year.
  22. My guess is he was playing with something broke or something that would normally put you out a month or 2. It killed our offense the last 2 weeks but we were overcome it at semi- state. At state it killed us on both sides of the ball because not only does he make our offense go, he typically covered sideline to sideline on defense.
  23. lol they gave up like 48 passing yards. Now did the QB run all over them? Yes, yes he did. jays had a horrible first half and still ended up making it a game. If they are healthy I think the outcome is much different but Providence played one heck of a game and earned the win.
  24. #7 sure is tough. Judson not able to overcome the slow start in the first half. Heck of a season.
  25. Yeah that was a momentum killer. With a hurt QB I fear the jays don’t have enough weapons on the outside to score quick enough.
