  1. Culver at Caston - This is the week for Caston. Caston 28-21 Knox at Pioneer-The conference needs Pioneer to get the upset but i don't think it's happening. Knox's big weekness is pass defense and Pioneer isn't going to sling it. Knox 35-14 LaVille at Glenn- If everyone came out of last week healthy, i think the Lancers cruise. LV 28-7 North Judson at Triton - I think this Judson team is starting to figure out their identity. Seeing the mobile QB this past week was a good warmup to the Triton game. Jays 37-24 Winamac at West Central- Winamac is probably the biggest team WC will play this year but i don't think the Warriors can pull it off. WC 28-14
  2. Pretty much. Judson looked like they were at a funeral. They don’t have the size they normally do so if they aren’t playing all out they’ll have a tough week.
  3. Agreed! Top 5 are all pretty competitive but quality isn't the same compared to last year. And that's not meant to be a slight, the top 3 last year were just very good teams. Knox will have a tough run at their sectional. I see Judson winning sectional but Regional will be ROUGH if they don't get healthy. Next year, Judson will be tough! Laville is still a good team and will compete for the sectional. Pioneer is continuing to make progress. I haven't seen them yet but they seem to be getting back to old. Triton is a decent 1a team but injuries have killed them. Triton folks take the Laville words to heart but 1a to 2a is a bigger jump than you think.
  4. Hammond @ Pioneer - Taking Hammond in a close one due to their school size but could see Pioneer winning this by a score or 2. 38-33 Glenn @ Knox - Knox comes out flat but pulls away late. 35-21 Laville @ Caston - Laville wins easily. Caston could go on a 3 game win streak starting next week. 30-6 Triton @ Culver - Even with all the injuries Triton rolls. 35-7 Winamac @ Judson - jays 60-0
  5. Bremen at Triton- This should be good game. Triton squeaks this one out. 28-20 Culver at West Central- Culver has a chance of winning 2 games. It's this one or the Winamac game. Still think WC wins here. 28-7 North Judson at Knox- Even though Judson doesn't have the depth it's had in the past, i think they pull it out again. 26-20 Pioneer at Caston- Pioneer gets back in the win column. 35-14 Winamac at LaVille-Snoozer of the week. 41-0
  6. They've been out all year due to offseason injuries. No clue when they are due to return but they'll be massive help once they are able to return. CJ Sanchez Connor Benson
  7. Caston @ Triton- Caston has a few good athletes that impressed me but they still don't have a chance here. 35-14 Knox @ Culver- Biggest lopsided game of the week. Knox looking forward to week 4 against the bluejays. 56-7 North Judson @ CMA- CMA looking for revenge and I don't know if Judson can win this one without 2 of their best players still out. Hope I'm wrong! 28-20 Pioneer @ LaVille- No idea on this one but Pioneer is trending in the right direction. 15-14 Winamac @ North White- Winamac does well against their old MWC foes. 27-6
  8. Don't think we'll have very many good games this week. However, I think we'll get a good read if Laville will be fighting with Knox and Judson for the top spot. Judson South Central Knox Pioneer Laville
  9. Here's my guess for how the season goes. Hopefully all teams get to stay healthy throughout the year. North Judson Knox LaVille Triton Winamac Pioneer Caston Culver
  10. Then I vote we boot Caston and Culver. lol They are probably better off in the MWC.
  11. Weather is a bit rough out there today, hits will be felt a little more tonight!
  12. Honestly, we just try not to acknowledge much from him. Otherwise, we'll hear a story from 2004 where if their top 2 6th graders didn't get hurt, they would of won state in 2005.
  13. They didn't do the cannon this year because the school said it was due to "insurance". As far as the bell, that doesn't get rang during the game, so no rules ever get broken.
  14. Going into the game last year I did not think it would be close and it wasn't. AC's team speed was too much for Judson and AC took it to them. This year, I don't expect the same outcome. Lambert is a "one game at a time" coach, but you know they've been eyeing this rematch since the end of last year. I expect it to be a barn burner and hope the jays to sneak out the win. Judson: 36-34
  15. Region folks don't like to claim individuals from "south of 30."
  16. My guy is trying to stir the pot again. lol
  17. Trying to figure out where your rant came from?? Must of been waiting all off-season to talk some more smack. This person(not even sure if he’s a Judson guy) posted that Judson may be the best team he’s “seen”. Then went in to list all the ways they aren’t that great. So take a step back and take a deep breath, AC is still the favorites in the north.
  18. Knox @ Jimtown - Think Knox pulls this one out. Look for it to be a good game 35-28 Culver @ North Judson - Culver has had a pretty good year. Not enough depth to keep it close with the Jays tho. 42-6
  19. I think LCC comes out on top here 31-14.
  20. Triton came in with a great gameplan against Judson and Judson seemed to come out flat. Triton's coach really made a crucial mistake when the score was 12-6. They had 3rd and 6 inside the 50 and decided to throw the ball deep instead of using the 2 downs to try to pound out 6 yards.
  21. bring out that 2008 Rensselaer phonebook offense.
  22. I agree that they don't use their QB enough. He seemed like a really good athlete that could take over and he was barely utilized.
  23. West Noble at Knox- 35-21. Knox has to get stops on D but believe they are the better team. Andrean at LaVille- 20-14. Being a HNAC homer here and going LaVille. They have to play perfect to win but I give them that chance. South Central (UM) at Culver- 42-6. Not much of a game for Culver. They can start the next round prep early. Triton at North Judson- 35-7. I look for Triton to try to control the clock and the Jays to fix their defensive miscues from the first game.
  24. I hope they do. They'll need to play a complete game to take down AC. Judson will have to do a much better job of setting the edge this year.
  25. Most on here will probably disagree with you. However, I do hope Laville pulls it off!
