I believe AC won in 2000 - correct? I am a Southern Wells Alum and know that the Raiders beat Perry Central in 2001 @ the RCA Dome. AC, SW, and Southwood came from the same Sectional and won three straight state titles. Talk about a tough sectional!
As I recall, SW could’ve (maybe should’ve) won state in 2000 as well. Up v AC late just trying to kill last couple minutes. TB got held up and AC ripped it out and I believe ran it down close to goal line. FG to win

Lord, I apologize for that.
I both support and object to this post at the same time 😊🤟💪🏈?

Depends on whether it's city speed or county speed.
Lol... I like u. We were probably on opposite sides of the SA v Norwell Peewee field 😂 back in the day

I know. But to think CC will surprise SA on speed, not gonna happen. They are probably equal on that front, but SA probably has the size along with speed. It will be close though I believe.
U may be right. Imo overall CC speed > SA. Speed kills in LOS

Originally was going to go to a school in wells county. This family has a parent who is a teacher and couldn’t get a job in wells county but got a job as a South Adams teacher so that’s how they ended up at south adams.
👍 that will check the box.

Biggest reach of the year..... do you think before you post ever? If South Adams recruits why aren’t there more kids from Texas or literally from anywhere else? 1 single move in and you accuse a school of recruiting. Dumb post by you
And still no answer to the question as to why two athletes living in wells co are playing for for a team in Adams co.

Realize that the season before Cass knocked off 3A West Lafayette for the HC championship, beat Pioneer, and picked up a sectional. You don't always know that a team will go from 11-2 to 2-8 in one season.
Yep

It is, but what can you do? ACAC was strong at the start of the decade. Can’t fault them for Southern Wells not even having a team, or 4A Jay County being awful. They’re not purposely scheduling for an undefeated season, which you previously stated.
Ur probably right in that it was not purposeful. The cass game is a miss... I’m just comparing them to Lutheran who grabbed a 4a game when hey had an opportunity. I think it would’ve benefitted SA to have played a stronger schedule.

I haven’t once said anything about cc recruiting so nice try. You just are talking out your ass about a South Adams recruiting. You really think a family is going to move from Texas, where football is basically religion and say, “I want to go to South Adams, they have won 2 regional titles in their history”. No family being recruited is going to go to a school without a culture and history of success. South Adams has built that now with kids in their program since they were in elementary school.
I apologize. I was lumping u in with Thor who Chastised cc.

Talking a lot of crap and obviously don’t know much. They added Lewis Cass week 2 a year after they were number 1 going in to the tournament, before they even played. SA tried to get a better schedule, but there’s only so much they can do.
I agree with U that SA really did try to schedule strength in the cass game but unfortunately whiffed no fault to them. but u have to agree that overall the schedule is just weak

Lmao we have two move ins and they're from Texas. Obviously we recruited them. Everyone else on our team is Berne raised.
Just stop whining 😢😢about CC recruiting. Those two should be playing for Bluffton right????

The point is that EVERYONE does it now. Why aren’t they playing for Bluffton or Norwell? Because they saw an opportunity and SA athletic dept gave the thumbs up. I don’t fault them. But you guys need to quit whining about recruiting and just show up and play. 😢😢😢

That’s if they get down by 10. What happens if it’s a repeat of the semi state for Luers? Also, I wasn’t implying that webo had a threatening pass game or anything like that, just that their offense is similar to pioneers but they can and will throw a pass here and there. Regardless, Luers’ defense needs to play their very best game of the year.
And I’m assuming Luers won’t hand the 3 points after half

Agree they’re v similar to pioneer in their offensive approach. Just think the elements will be in favor of a speed / passing team

One dimensional?? You obviously haven’t watched much film on Danville.
Just semi state.

Curious what you saw that makes you think they are one dimensional? I wish that were true, but in the games I've watched online they appear to be extremely multiple. They have a monster running back and physical offensive line, they have size and speed at receiver, they have a tall QB who can sling it, they spread you out, they bring everyone in with a power run game. I don't think they are one-dimensional at all.
I don't have a prediction, other than I hope it will be a great game. I do think Danville has more talent all around than Chatard, strictly speaking from size, speed, and athleticism.
I only watched webo semi state game v southridge. I watched Chatard regional and ss games. I’d take Chatard +7 for $

Ur right my bad. They took a bye.

South Adams strength of schedule is 226 and CC is 260. Rumor has it South Adams also talked to multiple teams about a week 9 matchup ranging from 1a to 4a (one of those teams is playing for a state title). So I doubt South Adams really cared about being undefeated over adding a tough game week 9.
Lol... I’m from MISSOURI... they played union city week 9 😅
-
Danville seems to be very one dimensional. Southridge seemed to be outsized by 20-30 lbs per man. Got Chatard by 10
-
1A - CC has better athletes and more speed which will be a shock to SA... SA passed on opportunities to play decent competition this year in favor of going “undefeated”... soft schedule comes back to haunt them...cc by 14
2a - Webo won’t be able to run the ball and then will try to pass... which they cant. Luers by 28
3a - chatard just seems to play up to the level of their competition. Danville has good size up front but hasn’t seen athletes like they will this weekend . Chatard by 10
4a - Roncalli is dominate up front. Mooresville was the 2nd best team in Indiana. Roncalli by 21
5A - cathedral by 28

I completely agree. Webo seems to be more well rounded defensively for sure. Offensively, after watching the semi state game, pioneer was much more explosive. Webo is run heavy, usually under center with 2 receivers and a wing back plus Taylor the bruiser tailback. They run the wing (#8) in motion pre snap and most times hand the ball off to Taylor. He’s not the fastest or most athletic but boy is he a handful to bring down and just drags defenders wherever he goes. Webo’s pass game is short to intermediate when they do throw, which is maybe 7-10 times. The Knights need to play their absolute best game of the year to come out victorious there’s no doubt.
Not sure how u came to this conclusion. Webo can’t throw the ball. They’re oline is undersized. This will be a pioneer repeat but worse. Once webo gets down 10 they will try to throw the ball and it will quickly get ugly. Luers wins by 28.

Id be very satisfied if the IHSAA were to set a mandate that automatically excludes all PPs/Privates from Class 1A football.
Covenent was able to build a state championship level program in 5 years utilizing vast people resources that are not available to traditional rural and city public 1As. This is a huge unfair advantage CC has and it has leveraged that advantage ten fold. CC is basically a mini version of Cathedral.
Recruiting is not just a PP opportunity. SA recruits just as well. It’s a fair fight which, based on the film I’ve seen, CC will win.

How about just being a 1A in a metro area? Sure, schools don’t actively recruit, but now CC has the Indy area to get potential players from, while the Adams county schools have to pluck kids from a cornfield.
Come on man. How many move ins does SA have? I know of 2 from Texas who now live in wells county but somehow play in Adams co? SA recruits just as well as CC.

Chatard offense struggled last 2 weeks because they played a couple of excellent teams. Saw Concordia D up close. They were scarey athletic across the board and very strong up front. May be that top 3 in 3a we’re in the north. We’ll find out.
