  1. Quite the contrary my friend.....safe travels and welcome to the Jewell!!!
  2. I can't help myself. But this is a good shot of the Patriot 3-7-1 defense...LOL.
  3. Streaming (other than IHSAA of course): https://team1sports.com/theoriginalcompany/?bfplayvid=735708
  4. That's because ESPN has continually held cable companies hostage with ridiculous programming cost hikes year after year after year. The content providers killed cable...and now they will get their pound of flesh another way.
  5. The Patriots had more than enough room in our meager visitor seating this season.
  6. Correction. There will now be video streaming. The Vincennes outfit that does their game I believe. Should be available via IHSAA TV.
  7. Due to the bankruptcy of Bally Sports, future telecasts of IHSAA state championships will be exclusively as a pay-per-view presentation on IHSAAtv.org. 46 states preceded the IHSAA in charging for viewing. Additionally, the IHSAA is one of the few that still allow free-to-watch presentations of the sectional and regional levels. Common questions: Q: Why don't local TV stations air the finals? A: The cost to produce the finals for television using advertising as the revenue source isn't feasible. No TV station or regional sports network came forward to cover these costs. Advertising dollars are escaping conventional media such as television stations, radio and newspapers migrating to the web and social media. Q: Where does the money go? A: The cost to produce a broadcast quality production for sports previously covered by Bally exceeds $200,000. Those costs will need to covered before any distribution to schools or the association. However, the IHSAA provides over $2,000,000 in tournament gate proceeds back to the schools yearly. This year, rights fees paid by broadcasters are also being given back to the schools. The amount given back to the schools exceeds the total operational budget of the IHSAA. Q: How can I watch? A: There are several options. The best option is purchasing a Roku, Firestick or Apple TV device and downloading the free IHSAAtv app from their various app stores. You'll need an account with HUDL, to which you will be prompted when purchasing access. These devices connect to the HDMI port on your TV allowing you to watch the game in high definition. It's always available via your browser at IHSAAtv.org Q: Is a yearly subscription for IHSAAtv available? A: At this time, the only option HUDL (our streaming provider) provides is a purchase of single games (matching the event ticket price) or an all-access pass (generally a $5 add) that gives you all games being played at the current final or semi-state. Q: Will the finals return to Cable TV? A: We don't know. There's a chance Bally comes out of bankruptcy and decides to re-up. Our hopes for local over the air TV is low due to the substantial cost of production. This cost was the reason the Comcast and Channel 4 excited coverage in the recent past. IHSAAsports began streaming finals in 2005 and exited in 2010 due to costs. IHSAAtv.org was founded by HomeTown Sports and is now a product of the IHSAA. Attached picture is from the NFHS network showing states that charge for tournament viewing.
  8. I don't think I have seen you pull for the rest of the SIAC quite so hard before lol.
  9. I use the IHSAA app on my TV or firesticks, however, I still think it stinks beyond belief that there isn't a network broadcast of some type.
  10. They do publish it every year....just very very late. I can't remember but thinking after regional.
  11. Actually it looks like they only do their radio show for the regular season...or at least that is all they archive.
  12. Salters said on his final radio show of the season that QB2 is the "best" receiver on the team. You are familiar with those radio guys right?
  13. It also been that long since VL has been challenged. Without getting into a lot of data, the point is, upon careful analysis, I don't think the Vincennes D might is as good as you might think. I also believe teams that I believe aren't as proficient at us at passing have no trouble scoring at least 3 TDs against Lincoln. That's why I asked the question I did on the Memorial VL thread. The only real shade thrown over there is against poor Porter Rode.
  14. Make no mistake...VL will be on a mission. It should be a great contest.
  15. Are are talking about the same defense that gave up 441 (130 through the air and 311 on the ground) yards to Evansville north on 59 plays? The one that gives up more passing yards than any other teams in the SIAC not named Harrison or Central (same story as last season)? W or L any team that can throw the ball at all scored 3 TDs against VL. I think the question is...who has a good offense in the SIAC this year? Would you say North has a good offense? Is this a fabulous parody year in the SIAC as all of those 6-3 teams are just really good....or are they all just...meh?
  16. Maybe I'm the only one, but it makes me wonder. Boonville gave Reitz three short fields on interceptions in the first half and then only mustered 40 yards of offense in the second half. How did they only beat Boonville 24-0?
  17. He looks like he can move just fine on the film of the last two games.....roll outs etc.
