  1. So perhaps “building level admin” should remain out of athletics and let ADs decide what’s best for their athletic programs? What a thought. As I said before, just swallow your pride, admit you overreacted and made a mistake in villainizing Center Grove, pick up the phone and do the right thing.
  2. Spoiler alert…Warren’s football coach is also Warren’s AD, lol.
  3. Man, FC getting some big time mileage out of that moral victory against CG in the sectional huh? No Carmel and Brownsburg is laughable.
  4. Count me among them. My Carroll fandom grows by the minute. Meanwhile in central Indiana we have teams with hurt feelings ducking Center Grove in varsity football while playing them at other levels. Just admit it was an overreaction and nonsense and do what’s best for the kids. Carmel/Warren vs CG are great for the sport and for all involved.
  5. Oh, and don’t forget this one…
  6. It must. Such a clown show.
  7. There are a couple main pillars to the violations. 1. Assistants knowingly contacting players via zoom after the maximum allowable hours allotted by the NCAA during Covid. 2. Contact between Jim and high school recruits while they were on campus for unofficial visits ON THEIR OWN DIME during Covid in a time where official visits were not allowed by the university. Those in the 2021 class, along with their families, organized unofficial visits to help in making their decisions. Jim was caught paying for a kid’s lunch and then denied it when approached by the NCAA. The contact rules during Covid were changing BY THE MINUTE so Jim’s defense is that he did so unknowingly. He apparently lied which is what this is really all about. Giving jail time to a guy going 55 in a 45 while murderers roam free.
  8. He’s not “totally innocent.” The NCAA wants Harbaugh to say that he lied and KNOWINGLY broke the rules and Jim will not budge. He would rather miss four cupcake games as opposed to caving to the hypocrisy of the NCAA…
  9. I usually shy away from political analogies as they get heated but you are partially right on this one. The NCAA has been after Harbaugh ever since he stood up to them and found loop holes in creating satellite camps in 2015. He was always a step ahead and perhaps his arrogance got the best of him this time. Sorta like the witch hunt that has followed president 45 that has (so far) continued to come up empty. It’s a two-tiered system of justice. Anyone who knows anything about Jim knows this will actually fuel him this upcoming season…my only “worry” is that the clown show that has become the NCAA once again drives up Jim’s interest in the NFL. Guys at Tennessee handing out bags of cash in fast food bags and paying off parents’ cars, Georgia football players killing people while driving 100+ mph and you wanna dig your heels in on some zoom practices during Covid and a cheeseburger. C’mon.
  10. The University of Michigan conceded 4 minor (Level II) violations, including buying a recruit a cheeseburger. But the NCAA said Harbaugh initially lied about it, and Harbaugh said he didn't. So the NCAA will suspend him for 4 games - a week after giving Tennessee no games for 200+ violations. This is all you need to know.
  11. Yawn…wake me up when Tennessee is punished. Blatant NCAA hypocrisy here.
  12. Great point. I just think it matters less than many think.
  13. Might be an unpopular opinion but I actually think that 5000+ students in one building can be detrimental in many ways. Just a hunch. I am not sure that there is a significant difference/advantage between 5000 and 3000 students.
  14. This is great for the sport. Based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever, part of me believes that Carmel felt they were too good for this match up in the past, and if things continue to trend in the direction they are, Westfield may actually be the one feeling that way in the coming years.
  15. Warren is ducking CG under the disguise of racism when it’s really just virtue signaling, hurt feelings and repeated beat downs.
  16. Likely a combo in my opinion.
  17. Wow! First I’ve ever seen of this. (And they STILL reached out to see if they wanted them back on the schedule?) Warren has entered the chat.
  18. It’d be a great series to get back on the schedule and could eventually re-develop into a cool backyard rivalry if Whiteland can continue to grow. I’d rather see CG “drub” Whiteland than play 4 out of state teams annually.
  19. I’ll give you #1…need more insight on #2. Why’d they stop playing? Did CG reach back out after the MIC falling out?
  20. Brownsburg has been the program on the cusp and it appeared the “changing of the guard” on the west side was in full swing. Brownsburg appears to have stalled and the question of Hart’s ability to get them over the hump HAS to be in question at this point. If a first year guy comes in 8 miles down the road and takes the Giants farther than Hart has ever taken Brownsburg, that’d be eye opening.
  21. Which is why I said “in the next few years.” They will have to beef things up in the OOC for sure though. Hell, if things break right they could give CG a run for their money in the 2030s… Yeah, I said it.
