  1. Heard the same when UNC rolled into Blacksburg last month.
  2. VT +1…hmmmm A hornet’s nest at night… An opponent with a QB controversy that hasn’t looked itself in the first month of the season… Take my money DraftKings.
  3. Not sure there is an argument against it as much as a lack of agreement on HOW to do it. I could be mistaken however. Sagarin is not an exact science and doing it based on win/loss record would give schools incentive to schedule meaningless regular season games to pad their record. I could be way off base here though. I’m willing to admit that.
  4. True story there. I kid but this kid has been to hell and back in terms of injuries.
  5. Maybe they get halfway to 8 or is this actually a blessing in disguise for IU?
  6. I thought ALL scores were reviewed, no?
  7. Apparently the lack of holding calls against Purdue's opponents has become a pattern.
  8. Not sure if it is ND fan apathy or the fact that it was probably the biggest road game in Cincinnati's program history... Probably a combination?
  9. Just spit balling here, but is Indiana being dubbed a "basketball state" the difference here? Football has made large strides, no doubt but is this completely off base?
  10. Didn't get a chance to watch but a couple of my Purdue friends said there were some pretty egregious holds that we not called and a Gophers TD that should not have counted. Anybody shed some light?
  11. 17-4 so far this year picking MIC contests. Here we go: Ben Davis @ Lawrence Central - Trap game again for the Giants as they are reeling and LC is gaining more confidence every Friday night. BD's inability to finish games (no pun intended, I promise) cost them against Warren and LN though they played with Carmel for three quarters. LC took care of business against a reeling NC squad. This one is closer than many think and I am going to fall for it again I guess. BD wins 34-27. Lawrence North @ Center Grove - LN used a dominating 2nd half against Warren to come back and beat the Warriors for the first time at LN in over 25 years. The competition gets stiffer this week as they travel to nationally ranked Center Grove. The Trojans have been on cruise control but cannot afford to take this LN outfit lightly. I do not believe they will. CG wins this one 38-13. North Central @ Pike - The unofficial 7th place game in the MIC. Pike seems to be steadily improving though it is not showing up in the win column, while NC continues to go the other direction. Pike's kids get a feel good game this Friday night and feast on the struggling Panthers. Pike wins 27-14. Warren Central @ Carmel - Two teams in CG's rear view mirror but hungry for a potential rematch in the tournament. Warren let one get away last week at LN while Carmel "survived" (no pun intended, I promise) at BD. I expect a lot of points in this one as neither defense impresses me much, which is why I simply cannot take them seriously as a threat to Center Grove. I think Carmel wins this one 38-23. What say you?
  12. Tier 1: Center Grove Tier 2: Carmel Tier 3: Ben Davis, Lawrence North, Warren Central Tier 4: Lawrence Central, North Central, Pike
  13. Tier 1: Brownsburg, Westfield Tier 2: Hamilton Southeastern Tier 3: Fishers, Franklin Central, Zionsville Tier 4: Avon, Noblesville
  14. 18-2 picking HCC contests thus far. Here we go: Avon @ Zionsville - No moral victories but Avon DID actually remain competitive against Westfield longer than I thought they would. The offense continues to hum along while the D is still the weak spot. Zionsville took another one on the chin but will be better off for it once the 5A playoffs roll around. Their offense struggled last week but everyone has moved the ball on Avon, so expect more points this week. I do think this one is pretty close actually. I'll take Zionsville 30-24. Brownsburg @ Noblesville - Brownsburg rebounded nicely from their loss to Westfield by shutting down Zionsville, whereas Noblesville continued to struggle against a very good HSE team. Seems to be a battle of one team who hopes is best football is in front of them (Brownsburg) against a team who obviously played it best football (Noblesville) back in August. Brownsburg rolls here. 34-14 Dogs. Fishers @ Westfield - The Tigers pasted a confident FC team last week and Westfield needs this one to clinch at least a share of the conference title unless I am mistaken. Fishers has some decent wins but has failed to answer the bell when elite competition comes calling. They are a nice outfit but not on Westfield's level. Westfield rolls 35-14. Franklin Central @ Hamilton Southeastern - Like Fishers, FC has some decent wins on their resume but is not running into the October grind. The Flashes are ahead of schedule but they are not ready for an HSE team that has high post season aspirations. I'll take HSE 41-17. What say you?
  15. Stated this ever since last spring and once the Hoosiers received preseason hype from nearly every direction…and now it’s coming to fruition. 2020 was the perfect storm for the Hoosiers (elite conference teams having key opt outs, lack of crowds, etc) and that they’d return to normalcy in 2021…which is exactly what’s happening. They are a cute 6 win bowl eligible team annually, nothing more.
  16. Well, you had to wait until they lost to Michigan to claim they were overrated huh? Irish fans were calling it a quality win in my circle last Sunday.
  17. But NOW they are overrated, right?
  18. Obviously I’m jealous but I honestly sometimes wonder if it’s even fun being a Bama fan.
  19. Where are all of those 8-9 win posters?
  20. Big ten about to have 4 in the top 10 and 5 in the top 12-15…just sayin’.
  21. Don't you have to be rated to be overrated?
  22. Saw this one scroll across last night and am intrigued. Details?
