  1. Such poetic justice for a program who seriously considered not taking the field against Michigan in 2023 citing "safety concerns" due to Michigan players "knowing signals ahead of time", then choosing to huddle and have calls run in from the sideline before losing 49-0. Poverty program.
  2. Contrary to the belief of your fellow posters on this board, I do not believe that my favorite program is free of flaws nor above reproach. And no, I do not have him on ignore. Seeing his posts actually boots my self esteem.
  3. Oh well, back on topic… Updated list of college football programs with vacated wins. 1. LSU - 37 2. Ole Miss - 33 3. Louisiana - 22 T-4. Alabama - 21 T-4. Notre Dame - 21 6. North Carolina - 16 T-7. USC - 14 T-7. Michigan State - 14 T-9. Florida State - 12 T-9. Ohio State - 12 T-11. Syracuse - 11 T-11. Tennessee 11 T-13. Kentucky - 10 T-13. SMU - 10 T-15. California - 4 T-15. Arkansas State - 4 17. Georgia Tech - 1
  4. Many of those early Michigan wins came against teams they were teaching the game to along the way, including high school teams and such. It’s actually kinda embarrassing. The guy stalks me and gives folks my whereabouts and physical features. It was more than “being compared to a guy on television” and you know it. He then panhandles on behalf of this website and bullies folks consistently. I choose to fight fire with fire, sue me. Dude is geriatric. Not like I am gonna go Ryan Day/Lou Holtz on him…
  5. Geez. Double standards. You let that geezer get away with murder. What’s he got on you? Or is it that he is your best door to door salesman when donation time rolls around?
  6. Well, I guess everyone was right. “The hammer” did come…just the wrong Michigan school. @gonzoron Likewise to you! REMOVED:
  7. In a small vacuum, sure. But they'd better come up big in round 3. And for the record, before 2023 I cringed when Michigan football boasted about having the most wins in college football and how many consecutive sellouts they had. Notre Dame ALWAYS manages to step on a rake when the lights are at their brightest. They obviously need a "spy/sign stealer."
  8. Oh, you mean midwestern football hater Pawwwwwl? Nah, you got me twisted.
  9. Also hoping we get to see a Roncalli/Heritage Hills matchup. Roncalli's talent and depth versus the top end star power of HH.
  10. This game intrigues me just as last week's Crown Point/Penn tilt did. The team with prestige and history trying to prove its in the process of revitalizing itself versus the up and comer that has tasted success and wants to get back to downtown Indy for another shot at it.
  11. Not in the era of sports media today. It'd be considered a "hot take" and I'd get SAS money. Once again, you measure relevance by eyeballs and money which is fine, I measure it based on trophy cases.
  12. Good find. Auburn is also irrelevant. Exception to the rule.
  13. Who you referencing here as team A?
  14. Successes as in plural? IU’s 20-15 win over the worst Michigan team in over a decade counts as ONE. Gave em credit. Told em I was wrong on Cig. Not sure what else you want. The main difference between IU football fans and Notre Dame football fans is the level of delusion. All 5 people on this board who knew Indiana University had a football team prior to last year know that they are in the midst of their best run in school history and it will never get any better than this. Let em soak it up. Notre Dame fans convince themselves every off season that “this is the year.” Exhibit A: @Bobref’s anointing of “The Chosen One.” He was right though I’ve gotta give him credit. The kid did win a national championship…just did it in lacrosse instead of football.
  15. Or you could win a championship and shut me up.
  16. The goal of the sport is championships, no? Notre Dame doesn’t win conference championships. For years, they didn’t win meaningful bowl games. Trophy case pretty dusty in South Bend. You measure relevance by fandom and ratings, I measure it by meaningful wins in the iPhone era. Sorry, but if your most recent championship came before the invention of the internet, I can’t consider you relevant.
  17. Eh, at least 5 high schools nationwide. Never compared em to Texas Tech. Where do Nebraska, Penn State and Tennessee fall on your lists above? They also boast about consecutive sellouts and other nonsense in order to claim relevance, despite having not accomplished squat in three decades. Titles = relevance
  18. You usually do a pretty great job.
  19. A Notre Dame fan talking arrogantly about relevance will never not be hysterical to me.
  20. Agree on both accounts. DC is playing with the definition of house money Friday night.
  21. Specifically to the Finebaum part, the SEC's annual November FCS weekend prior to rivalry week is an embarassment. He has no leg to stand upon.
  22. You’re asking ME if “OSU’s highly rated athletes” scare me, lol? I’ve heard about this for 5 years. In a climate controlled environment like Lucas Oil, that matters sure. So I guess you’re right.
