  1. We don’t have to “ forget it.” It’s great conversation. Unlikely any BD players are reading this forum…you don’t need to shy away from branching off onto other topics. We can respect what BD just did and still have our opinions. Look, the HCC is the best conference in Indiana , top to bottom. Folks are going to continue to pile on unfairly until they win a title which I guess is fine. It’s an easy target. However, you have to be “on” each Friday night or you are going to get snatched. Hell, Snider found out that one bad night on the wrong night against middle of the road SAC squads can get you beat. The difference is there is no Concordia, Wayne, Northrop, our South Side on the schedule for HCC teams which is why I was adamant Snider would be a middle of the pack HCC team were they to play an HCC schedule. Once again, that is not diminishing the accomplishments of Snider. It’s just my opinion. They have a significant enrollment disadvantage against the teams you mentioned and the wear and tear of that schedule every 7 days would take its toll. I always end these debates with you with the same Homestead/Noblesville story from a few years back…
  2. You lost me at “Indy Star.” A bunch of hacks outside of Neddenriep. The bias comes from the results.
  3. SEC always gets a “rankings bump.”
  4. Can’t argue with Indy results at the state finals…one big win over DECATUR CENTRAL (an afterthought to all 6A schools in Indy) doesn’t erase decades of dominance. Snider played great. They don’t need my approval. I also think you may need an atlas as East Central is far from an “Indy team.” You’re embarrassing yourself.
  5. Yep. But BD, East Central, and Chatard didn’t lost on their “bad week.”
  6. I’ve spoken as nauseam about that BD/Warren contest as I watched all four quarters. Also not sure Warren is the best measuring stick to use when comparing elite teams. You also act like East Central played a schedule in the 200s…they played a top 70 schedule and that doesn’t include Moeller who played in the final four in Ohio’s largest class. Nearly the equivalent of Snider, who is sitting at 49. Please stop acting like Snider is getting disrespected. They aren’t.
  7. Even if seeded geographically at the sectional round, Brownsburg woulda matched up with BD one week later. And no offense but CG or Brownsburg would have also rolled Crown Point…probably Cathedral too. I often get accused of “Indy bias” but just at the 6A level it is so damn lopsided and has been for quite some time. This often gets laughed at (and probably should) but dividing the state east/west would do wonders, specifically for 6A.
  8. My #2 didn’t crap the bed against a mediocre Homestead squad. They showed out every Friday night this fall.
  9. Don’t kid yourself. If Bama beats UGA, they are in.
  10. C’mon. Appreciate the kind words but I can’t unsee Snider at #2.
  11. Michigan CAN say that but I can see why you have pause. Have to show up in the playoff this year.
  12. I think Vanderbilt is worse…maybe even Stanford.
  13. I’ve gotta see a PAC 12 team play D before I am on board with that but I also see them as a threat.
  14. Well it also comes down to patience. Is IU willing to wait until mid January?
  15. Unfortunately true. The winner of the PAC 12 game is in though. Oregon has been on a tear lately.
  16. Nobody gonna mention the Bama/Auburn finish?
  17. This is the last year of divisions.
  18. Will land on his feet as a DC somewhere if I had to guess. Who’s Indiana’s first call?
  19. Unfortunately, I think I agree. If Ohio State can get in after losing by three touchdowns on their home field last year they can get in playing the moral victory card yesterday also. I still think a one loss Oregon or undefeated FSU is more deserving. Even Texas.
  20. Dan Lanning lost that game for Oregon. I don’t think it’ll happen again.
