I’m calling BS on him being one of the fastest kids on the team…unless you are considering being in the 90th percentile “one of the fastest.” CG has more speed than folks want to admit (at all three levels) and this track season is proving it.

Need to get two directional schools and an FCS on the schedule annually in September. I said in the other thread that schools that choose to play tough non conference games need to rethink that approach. IU really does. 3-0 in the non conference means you only need three more to get to bowl eligibility, which as you stated should be the goal for IU every fall.

IU: Nowhere as good as their record in 2020…nowhere near as bad as their record in 2021. Can we all agree on that statement?

Now THIS cannot be overstated. I’ve long said that one of CG’s main advantages over those others in this thread is the coaching consistency that Moore has provided for 2+ decades and the way it’s been built from the ground up. While Warren/BD/Carmel are replacing coaches 2-3 times per decade, Moore is simply proving his doubters wrong by reloading his machine. The names change but the results don’t. CG isn’t going anywhere as long as he is around and though he has tossed around the idea a few times in interviews, I actually think that the recent attempt to tarnish his reputation actually rejuvenated him and gave him more motivation. Just a hunch.

Sure, you may be right. Texas, FSU and even Nebraska could also breakthrough again at the college level but they now have to worry about teams (in their own conferences) that were an afterthought in previous generations. The big four (Warren, BD, Carmel and CG) will become the big 7-8 by the end of the decade. Some programs’ best days are behind them…others are well in front of them.

Cool. Texas, Nebraska, and Florida State (BD/Warren) put themselves/their conferences on the college football map at one time too. Baylor, Wisconsin, and Clemson (Center Grove, Brownsburg, Westfield) are the new blood. Times have changed. Side note: Anyone else see that Texas had ZERO draft picks over the weekend? Yikes.

Gotta challenge yourselves if you want to be the best and prepare yourself for the state tournament. Approximately 15 of the 20 sports are an absolute walkover for CG and/or Carmel. Gotta prepare for the future while winning in the present.

CG and Carmel may be moving on publicly which is easy to do because the MIC 6 aren’t a threat to them athletically in 90% of IHSAA sanctioned sports. Though in a bind right now, the MIC will will never be taken seriously again as a premier athletic conference regionally or nationally without Carmel or Center Grove…look at the once proud NCC.

The folks in the “MIC 6” who took a stand and got jealous once CG and Carmel started looking for a hotter girlfriend deserve every bit of this vitriol. They attempted to deflect and push the narrative that CG and Carmel were somehow “the bad guys” for looking elsewhere in the name of competitive and financial benefits for their communities…not to mention safety. How dare they? I will continue to call them out on this nonsense as the REAL reason they booted Carmel/CG is because they were tired of losing to them. It’s so blatantly obvious to anyone with a pulse at this point. The logos remaining on the trophy are just the icing on the cake at this point. It’s laughable. Boys tennis: Carmel - 5 NC - 0 (Side note: The MIC Championship track and field trophies still have both the Carmel and CG logos on them despite the fact that neither school was invited to compete in last night’s MIC track and field championship meet.) You just can’t make some of this stuff up folks. It writes itself.

I mean, the rich nature of a guy who claims I don't matter to him and that "has me on ignore" digging through my posts to keep a receipt from over a week ago is enough for me.
