  1. Correct, but WC and BD don't measure their success on conference titles. It's state titles or bust for those programs from day 1 of summer conditioning.
  2. I give Kirschner 3/4 more years at Warren max and still have tons of questions about Simmons. Hell, all three programs could be hitting reset at the same time.
  3. I guess I get that but this guy loves to argue and seems to have an axe to grind with Harbaugh. He’s easily a top 10 coach in the country and I’ll even stick my neck out farther and call him top five based on the lack of a level playing field in the sport and some of the academic hurdles UM has to overcome in their admissions department. Are they Harvard? No. Not even Notre Dame. But the stories are out there a plenty. There is no better suited human being to coach at the University of Michigan and as we mentioned above, the guy has won at all levels and is one of a few to do so. He is polarizing and the talking heads love to give him hell. Obviously he’s been a part of some tough losses and apparently @Footballking16 isn’t impressed and thinks 2021 was a one off.
  4. Because it seems like you are insinuating that CG’s coaching change (which you seem to be dreaming about) is going to contribute to their demise while ignoring that their two biggest rivals not named Carmel have also had years where they have been shells of their former selves and have adults walking out the door every 4-6 years.
  5. Man, I really feel like this conversation. is taking place in a time warp. You sure about that 2nd sentence? Imagine attempting to throw shade at a team that just finished #3 in the country.
  6. Still being negotiated. Rumor has it, larger assistant pools was high on Harbaugh’s wish list.
  7. Damn you. Ronnie is rubbing off on you.
  8. If that’s the case, then selfish adults with hurt feelings don’t really have the best interest of student athletes in mind and it’s all talk. Not being conference partners is one thing but if you don’t think potential WC/BD (just using them as examples) regular season matchups with Carmel/CG is best from a competitive/tournament preparation standpoint then you are kidding yourself. Not saying this is the case but I think “the breakup” is much more about adults getting in their feelings and making emotional decisions than it is some statement about Carmel and Center Grove. But CG has room “to slip”. Their “step back” will more so bring other teams into the picture more so than it put CG in those team’s rear view mirrors. I know it’s only two years but they haven’t just been winning contests, they’ve been dominating them in most cases. Let’s also not sit here and pretend that Ben Davis and Warren Central have been the models of consistency from a coaching standpoint. They have been revolving doors for the last decade plus.
  9. Will have more talent than 10-11 teams on their schedule by a wide margin in most cases. Freeman just has to be competent and keep the train on the tracks. USC will be a threat in the future but I’m not sure Riley can turn them around in year 1.
  10. Don’t need to be to compete for state titles annually, which was my claim.
  11. While the Marion County schools slowly continue to slip into irrelevance. They were wildly successful before Jackson and will continue to be so after his departure.
  12. Opinion. The gap from OSU to the rest of the conference has been enormous. You predicting OSU to drop 60 on Michigan again?
  13. Far fetched. Too much affluence and community support to let that happen. CG is here to stay and while I’m not predicting a decade of dominance, they’ll be in the state title discussion annually.
  14. Lost me at “until this year.” Playoff appearances and power 5 conference titles are damn hard to come by. Take a look at Dabo, Saban and now Kirby? How long did it take them to reach elite status and breakthrough? Hell, I’ll be more specific…look up how many years to took Dabo to beat his main rival SOUTH CAROLINA? Just stop. You are embarrassing yourself.
  15. Did I miss somewhere where current MIC schools (who will also now have more openings in their schedule) have announced a refusal to play Carmel/CG in non-conference competition? If not, why is this not being discussed?
  16. Says a Carmel parent/supporter, lol? He has a right to be. His favorite program is riding high on two consecutive state titles and the state’s current longest winning streak. Just stop. You are embarrassing yourself.
  17. Catching OSU early is key. They will have the best skill talent in America once again but much of it outside of JSN is unproven. It doesn’t help ND that Olave and Wilson opted out of the Rose Bowl and their young guys got meaningful reps though. Ill tell you this however…if ND employs the 2nd half prevent/matador defense they did in the Fiesta Bowl, Ohio Stadium may be in the market for a new scoreboard after the ND game.
  18. I’ll just continue to keep/post receipts while you grasp at straws. Here’s another nugget for you…in the six full recruiting cycles since being hired, Harbaugh’s classes at Michigan have averaged 11th nationally and 2nd in the Big Ten. Next…
  19. “Harbaugh isn’t great at player development.”
  20. I’m now 90/10 on Harbaugh staying, lol.
  21. I believe 6/8 (75 percent) was required.
  22. No, but it wasn’t particularly close based on what I’ve heard.
  23. Beat me to it. Deleted.
  24. Hearing that today is the big day…
