  1. This would absolutely be the case.
  2. Been there, done that I believe.
  3. At the expense of the student athletes. At least 2 (if not more) running clock conference games annually in football, getting throttled in the country club sports (where they will fail to field full squads on many occasions), and MAYBE going .500 in basketball? I tend to agree. With the changing socioeconomics, FC's path to competitiveness in the MIC would be shorter than its ascent to the top of the HCC. Avon and Brownsburg are headed for 4000 students in the next few years and Zionsville/Westfield will be at 3000 before you know it.
  4. Completely on board with FC (and as I suggested earlier even Avon), but Tech is not the answer. I see your point financially and even from a legitimacy standpoint as it relates to IPS, but other than that, it'd be a slaughter.
  5. If "political reasons" gets your student-athletes sent to the slaughter house in most sports, count me out. Think Butler has any regrets about joining the Big East yet?
  6. Tech to the MIC still strikes me as Rutgers to the Big Ten...they'd add nothing from a competitive standpoint. Basketball is their golden goose (right now) and they aren't even in position to win the NCC.
  7. I’m still curious to see how the vote broke down. While my sources said it wasn’t particularly close, the Indy Star claimed it was nearly split. If the latter is true I could see an above scenario playing itself out. Of course I also heard that the HCC schools said, “don’t even approach us again until at least 2024”…which could be interpreted two ways…
  8. A Bengals/Bills AFC title game would have been epic. Two fan bases that are very deserving. They’ve sat through some terrible weather games to watch some pretty poor football teams over the past three decades.
  9. Allen must think Mahomes is Michael Myers. Cant’t kill him!!! Great offense or terrible defense?
  10. I’m often an expert in hyperbole but I think this may have been the most amazing weekend of playoff football I’ve ever seen.
  11. Is it too soon/is there enough data to make the claim that riding momentum and confidence supersedes rest and the playoff bye? Taking nothing away from Cincinnati and San Francisco but the Titans and Packers looked like absolute junk yesterday,
  12. Why? They, along with LSU, are probably the dirtiest teams in the country NOT named Kentucky…
  13. Which road dog you betting this weekend? I think Buffalo has the best chance.
  14. I think he was being sarcastic.
  15. If this is the case, BD's free ride is over and Warren steps into the JV sectional huh?
  16. Don't ruin the story here now. The remaining 6 MIC schools are victims.
  17. Please god no.
  18. I’m also keeping an eye on this but wouldn’t expect it soon.
  19. Couldn't agree more. Hypocrisy at its finest.
  20. Nah, not to my knowledge. I just have to LOL at the way this story is being framed by @BDGiant93 and local media sources which is honestly a deflection from the truth. The MIC schools got hurt feelings and were getting their brains beat out in nearly every sport and garnered support by playing the victim card. In the environment which we live in 2022, its a way of life for so many...and it works more often than not. In what can only be described as karma, CG and Carmel dominated this last weekend's MIC wrestling meet on their way out the door. Until the conference expands to 8 teams again, every conference title won by current MIC schools will have an asterisk next to it in the Temp's book.
  21. Gotta strike while the iron is hot. Russell Wilson is not Jeff George and you don't want to waste away Jonathan Taylor's best years behind an unproven QB. Just my two cents...
  22. Offense wins in modern day football. Quarterback is the most important position in all of sports. Do what it takes.
  23. Still hate Doyel. Throw the book at Russell Wilson and be done with it. Whatever it takes.
