  1. The socioeconomics and turnover is related my friend. Nice trolling attempt. LOL at your lame attempt to use your favorite "school of 1200" as the norm when they are obviously the exception. Clown show.
  2. And two guys named Favre and Rodgers had hall of fame careers while playing in Green Bay. Some guy named Jim Kelly wasn't bad for Buffalo either.
  3. Maybe you should start being a franchise that depends on a solid HOF/Pro-Bowl signal caller. Look at the recent trend of Super Bowl winners. QB play is pretty damn important.
  4. “If the Bears only had a quarterback.” - Every Bears fan in my lifetime
  5. Eh, the climate is pretty difficult from an athletics/academic standpoint. I am sure that Covid hasn't helped. Teaching impoverished youths in the city is another example of God's work. For many families, athletics is the farthest thing from their minds. Yet another reason why the "just work harder" mantra is pretty damn short sighted.
  6. At the collegiate/professional level I firmly believe the leash is too short. While that combined with unrealistic expectations are often problems at the prep level, I think this honestly ties into another thread that I saw on here over the last few weeks about coaching shortages. Its hard to find folks (inside or outside of the building) that are willing to grind for such little compensation. Many are lay coaches that have other careers and some simply take programs as far as they can and use them as stepping stone jobs for other positions.
  7. Great post. How can something be sustained when you are hiring a new coach every 2-3 years? TEN coaches in TWENTY years!!!
  8. Eh, not a fan. In football in particular, the schedules are already imbalanced as it is. I'll pass for selfish reasons.
  9. To point out that its about more than enrollment and to the "just work harder" crowd.
  10. AKA socioeconomics. Keep up here bud. You’re playing checkers. I’m playing chess.
  11. CG and Tech are nearly identical in terms of enrollment but the comparison ends there. Does CG outwork Tech? Does CG have a “huge” facilities advantage over Tech? In the time Moore has been at CG, Tech has had 10 coaches. Why do you think this is so? How in the hell are you supposed to build anything?
  12. I’m not trying to give Tech anything more than a competitive chance.
  13. As I stated before in a separate thread, Nick Saban could take the reins at Tech and it simply would not matter. Its a numbers/socioeconomic status issue. Look no farther than the turnover.
  14. Depends on your definition of “invest” I guess.
  15. Gotcha. I’ll phone over to the Tech/Perry AD’s and tell them to “invest harder.”
  16. Ok, ok wise guy. Is this “the year” the 27 year streak is broken?
  17. What’s the 2022 Mr. Football race looking like? Could 2022 be “the year?” Never too early.
  18. So if you are marginalizing numbers, explain why can’t the programs I mentioned above get off the ground? Southport has been the best of the bunch and won a couple of sectionals BECAUSE Tech/Perry were in their path.
  19. Don’t disagree necessarily but there are no 2/1 ratios in 1A and the speed of the game and size of the players is not nearly the same.
  20. One of them is in a unequivocally true. Stats and data support it. The other cannot be proven in either direction but to me it’s common sense.
