  1. If the goal is to win the state title then this will not suffice. It may improve attendance and increase interest in certain regions of the state but the gap is growing between the “haves and have nots” in terms of enrollment and SES as it relates to Central Indiana and the rest of the state. If you have a low SES, you’d better have an enrollment advantage. if you have low enrollment compared to the rest of your class, you’d better have a competitive SES. if you have neither, you are sunk.
  2. A dude that vocalizes his lack of support for Homestead yet then cites their “emotions” on a bus ride to a contest.
  3. Thank you. Such a piss poor excuse from an outsider.
  4. Can I see your rings? I think you gave me Noblesville +17 last year...
  5. LOL @ attempting to paint a “disadvantage” for Dwenger. As we should bring it up. Moral victories are all that you’ve got?
  6. Don't want to take away from the title on this thread, but the SAC having schools in multiple classes played a large role in these numbers. What is the SAC's record in the state finals in 5A/6A? And why 1994? The HCC has only been around since 2000. Flawed/skewed data.
  7. Not solely affluency as enrollment advantages also play a large role in Indy's success.
  8. Off topic but I have always wondered why some spell it NORTHROP and others NORTHRUP...
  9. An average free and reduced lunch of 70 percent is not helping matters. I’ll say it again, unless you have a significant enrollment advantage, the uphill climb that this data presents is damn hard.
  10. Considering I see tons of license plates from Minnesota and Wisconsin frequently on my trips there, I am gonna go with yes. They bypassed Chicago on their way to Indy.
  11. Folks travel from hours away (out of state) to go to Riley Hospital because it is well-known as the best pediatric facility in the midwest.
  12. Ah, you punted. We are talking about the best officials in the STATE yet now you wanna talk about national/worldwide. Simply put, as a parent you want your child to attend the best school in your area, with the best teachers. You want the best doctor, mechanic, financial advisor, (insert any other profession here) in your area or availability. Could you imagine this one: "Sir, we have the most qualified doctor in the area in our hospital, but he/she will be in the operating room next door. I hope you understand, but this doctor will do just fine."
  13. I know that sometimes we fail at making sports to "real life" analogies, but don't you want the BEST/MOST QUALIFIED people teaching your children? The BEST/MOST QUALIFIED mechanic working on your car? The BEST/MOST QUALIFIED person in charge of your financial investments? Instead, we are being told by many that what you look like/what gender you are supersedes credentials and qualifications. What a time to be alive...
  14. "I would work harder to break into one of those crews." Wow, what a amazing concept...
  15. Couldn't agree more with your last sentence. Now prepared for everyone to judge me...
  16. Really? That’s an interesting take. I agree with where you rank them but what Tom has done with a lack of great playmakers/HOF’ers (especially at the WR position) makes his accomplishments even more impressive. Pair Tom with this generation’s Jerry Rice for his career...does he have 12/13 Super Bowl appearances? He had Moss for one year and we saw what he did...
  17. Swap Brady/Montana’s rosters and tell me how their careers turn out.
  18. Seven straight seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving to start his career. First player in league history to pull that off. I’d say he is on his way. And you forgot to answer the question...
  19. No, I was simply asking. If you gave Brady the likes of Rice and Taylor and gave Montana guys like Deion Branch, Julian Edelman etc how would their careers wound up? Brady did have Moss for a year, Mike Evans is possibly a HOF’er but Rice is probably the GOAT at WR.
  20. Why, in your opinion, would he not have played as many years? Also, even though it’s hypothetical and not realistic, what do you say if you switch the rosters and give Brady those 49ers skill players from the 80s and put Montana on those modern day Patriot/Bucs teams. Do both careers turn out similarly? What’s different?
