  1. Eh, you could make an argument for Brebeuf too.
  2. I NEVER thought I would see the day when the "breather/exhale" game was against Penn. That might be the easiest game on Cathedral's schedule next year...
  3. Ah, I remember the days when I believed in unicorns too...
  4. No doubt, but I've never been a fan of naming a stadium/facility after an ACTIVE coach for some reason. Can't really explain it, just my opinion.
  5. I just spit my drink out when I saw the “stipend” differences at Zionsville, Brownsburg and Avon considering what happened at the sectional last year and this past fall. Well done Coach Turnquist. Well done.
  6. I get it, I totally do. I would have more sympathy had they missed three games due to other teams' doing, but one of them was due to their inability to stay healthy. Notice, they were also the only team that had an "outbreak" that only missed one game. They KNEW they needed to play at MSU last week and did so despite missing TWENTY-THREE guys. It was settled on the field and they beat Indiana, but this spits in the face of even having rules to begin with. The conference messed up by starting late and then doubled down by having ZERO bye weeks in anticipation this could happen.
  7. Brace yourself Hoosier fans...you are about to get "Buckeye'd."
  8. It's another example of the gap that exists from the mega schools to their competition. I am not naive enough to think that 4A/5A/6A schools have coaches with loaded teaching schedules, but am also wise enough to see what goes on in most of these situations. No fault of the coaches themselves...they are just capitalizing on the system that is in place.
  9. Nope, but refer to my earlier point. This thing is a popularity contest. Does anyone at Georgia or Miami know that Indiana HAS a football team?
  10. Couldn't tell ya. All I know is money can be found when it is "needed." So many folks shy away from talking about this hypocrisy. It's become a "good ole boys club."
  11. I mean it was a good win and you are not going to want to hear this, but have the Hoosiers actually beaten anyone GOOD?
  12. Helluva defensive effort by both teams if you ask me...
  13. What about made up/fictional positions that they magically find money for? Is anyone on here old enough to remember when coaches used to actually TEACH 7 hours per day and high school athletics were viewed as "extracurriculars" and an extension of the learning process?
  14. Does anything beyond FOUR really matter? 5-10th is all the same. It'll be Bama (regardless of what happens in the SEC title game). It'll be the winner of Clemson/Notre Dame. It'll be Ohio State. It'll be either Florida (if they upset Bama in the SEC title game) or Texas A&M (if Bama beats Florida). Yawn...
  15. I used to get outraged about this stuff too until I realized its all about name recognition and prestige. View it as you would professional wrestling. You’ll be much happier.
  16. LOL @ counting wins over PSU and Michigan as top 25 wins. Well done.
  17. O Don’t think the HCC wants them honestly.
  18. In his defense he did say the edges of Marion County.
  19. IWG nailed it above. Page 2.
  20. I’m afraid you’re correct.
  21. They closed their facilities and shut down on 12/1 if I’m not mistaken.
  22. Yep. 10-3/9-4 gets it done.
  23. My question is since there is no requirement to play in your conference title game to go to the playoff, why not just let IU/NU play in Indy and reschedule UM/OSU for the same day? Win/win.
  24. Rules are rules but I fully expect the B10 to “amend” their previous protocols. Michigan’s AD actually has already spoken out and supports the conference making an exception for the Buckeyes. Herbstreit already tried to paint the narrative to the national folks that Michigan was ducking OSU...yet the report is 45 players would be out due to the virus/contact tracing. It’s too late though. I also already see many OSU “fans” running with that narrative...10 days after they had their game against Illinois cancelled due to their positivity/contact tracing...
