  1. This stuff just writes itself.
  2. LOL, have at it @DT... I’ll have my popcorn ready.
  3. No they can't. Sorry. 2020 is an anomaly and while I agree with your premise that they can "go bowling every year", 9-10 wins 2-3 times per decade is the ceiling in my opinion. The Big Ten East will rebound and the Hoosiers will be lucky to get one of the big three (OSU, Michigan, PSU) annually. To get to 10 wins that means running the table. 9 means they have room for one more slip up. Make no mistake, what Allen has done this year is amazing but 2020 is the exception, and not the rule.
  4. Not doubting it one bit. I just appreciate a fellow member on the forum that does not have their head in the sand and spits in the face of being politically correct.
  5. I tend to agree with this, dependent upon the football position group being compared.
  6. The phrase rental player. Though true, it sounds so wrong.
  7. A wise man once said... “You show me a school’s free and reduced lunch rate, I’ll show you their level of success and future in athletics.”
  8. Well, its written as an opinion piece (just look at the title) and is a bit fuzzy on some of its "facts" but as I stated, the overall purpose of the article is to illustrate the dominance of the central Indiana schools, which it does. He compares a NWI large school winning the 6A state title, to winning the lottery. Not that far fetched based on recent data.
  9. The title is "ABOUT" to overtake Jeff...once again it does not define a specific amount of time. Why are you still focusing on the past?
  10. I think I'd swap your 40 percent "coaching" and 20 percent "SES." Arsenal Tech or Perry Merdian could bring in Nick Saban and they are not competing with Carmel or Center Grove anytime soon. Maybe if they gave him a few years, I'd change my mind. As great as Eric Moore is, drop him in at Cloverdale and see how long it takes. Vice versa, gimme the keys at Carmel and I could at least keep the train on the tracks...(I had an over 90 percent winning percentage on Super Tecmo Bowl in the 90s...)
  11. Good catch. I guess I have just finally lowered my standards for legitimate journalism. That being said, he does swing and miss at a few minor facts, but his overriding message is true.
  12. Yeah. I’ll give you that. A poor choice of words.
  13. What’s with all of the outrage? Pretty factual piece other than the private/parochial quote.
  14. Down to one healthy QB...haven’t pulled the plug but I’d expect them to. And of course the national media will have their pitchforks. The Big Ten will make an exception for OSU...as they always do.
  15. I’ll punt for now.
  16. They are important, no doubt. But the uphill climb for Noblesville/FC due to those SAME similarities can’t be ignored. F/R/L Zionsville - 5 percent Westfield - 15 percent Fishers/HSE - 18 percent Noblesville - 24 percent Brownsburg - 25 percent Avon - 35 percent Franklin Central - 40 percent Drop Jeff back into the HCC and they are in the lower third. Drop FC/Noblesville into the NCC and they contend for the conference title.
  17. Because Jeff is a GUARANTEED conference title annually because the NCC is a joke. FC/Noblesville are in HCC purgatory. Don't confuse the two.
  18. Just talking trends my man. It’s common sense. DT gave no time frame to the “passing of the torch.” The effects of Covid will last more than one season. There was a time as recently as 10-15 years ago that Center Grove (similar profile to Harrison) defeating Ben Davis/Warren (similar profile to Jeff) was considered an upset. Now, the Trojans not only hold their own, but they are .500 or better against both over the last decade. The only thing keeping BD/WC afloat is their distinct numbers advantage over CG. Jeff doesn’t enjoy that same luxury over Harrison. Jeff isn’t going away in the next 2-3 years, Harrison is not going to be a state contender in the next 2-3 years as their current projected growth will undoubtedly land them an eternal spot in 6A but by the end of this decade? The trajectory of the numbers suggests, they’ll start winning their fair share.
  19. “Is Harrison about to overtake Jeff” is the title of the thread my man. You are focusing on the past. The topic of this thread relates to the future. SES, along with Covid, has driven a stake between the haves and the have nots...and the gap is widening. Shanley left an assistant gig at BD, of course Jeff was a step up...plus as it stands now it’s a guaranteed conference title annually...an awesome resume builder for an up and coming coach. He’ll use the gig at Jeff to catapult himself to bigger things...as he should.
  20. Look at how it’s trending (the topic of this thread actually). If I were a young, 22 year old coach fresh out of college and both of these jobs were open, I’d be all over the Harrison gig...much more upside. Jeff has peaked. Not to mention, Harrison is growing at a faster rate. Mic, back on the ground.
  21. A wise man once said... “You show me a school’s free and reduced lunch rate, I’ll show you their level of success and future in athletics.” Jeff is at 62 percent. Harrison is at 27 percent. Mic drop...end of thread.
