Not sure if this is added or not, but Shelbyville will be getting turf for next season.
It is now!

@BTF Now, apply that same logic for ya know, Position and Head Coaches who these players decide to entrust them who were supposedly committed to them, where is that penalty?
This lid was blown off long ago, adapt or die NCAA, some would argue NCAA been dead for decades
It's not the same thing, at all. I mean, do they transfer when their professors take new jobs? Because they are committing to be a STUDENT-athlete. There is a hierarchy in life... 18 year olds are at the bottom. Comparing the coaches and players never made sense.

Who were the MSC picks this year?
Not sure.
We will bring back 4 of our 7 all-conference/HM guys. Both DEs and two DBs.

Just out of understanding how is this determined? Do schools nominate? Is this just a flat coaches vote? I assume you only get 1 position but how is it determined which position they get?
In the MSC, if you finish "first" you get x amount of kids on the all conference team, 2nd place gets one less than 1st, 3rd place one less than 2nd.
Not coach voted, position is irrelevant. Your best football players get rewarded.

Agreed, MD and Linton played in the sectional semis last year, now won't meet until SS (assuming both make it that far). MD played scecina in SS last year and could play them in the regional this year. Makes no sense to me.
Yep, stupid, stupid.
Oh well. Good luck the rest of the way.

I don't think this will be close at all. Southmont is very good, but Linton is pretty much dominant - I am going with 48-28 Linton
1.5hrs away in the same sectional. Still strange how they drew up 2A in the south.

Clay's varsity field is at their middle school, but I can't remember what they call it - Clay Field probably. Riley plays at Jackson Field, also at their middle school, and Adams and Washington play at School Field.
Thank you.

I haven’t been to Washington in probably 8-10 years, but Washington always had a nice playing surface. I would think given their physical layout this is going to impact their track?
I feel like the guy said it would be located at a different location. Can't remember on that.

I was told this morning Washington was getting turf.

Not sold on Lawrenceburg being rated above Memorial.
Amazed at the fall of Columbus East.....
"the fall of CE" ... they are still better than multiple teams ahead of them.

JV last night...
BC 20

North Harrison led 6-0 at the half. Great game, two teams played well.

Franklin County
Franklin County School Board approves field turf at Wildcat Stadium
Brookville, IN — Another area high school will soon have a synthetic playing surface.
The Franklin County School Board has approved the purchase and installation of field turf at Wildcat Stadium.
The school board voted 7-0 in favor of the plan.
Franklin County becomes the latest area high school to install the synthetic surface at its football stadium, following East Central, Batesville, Milan, Lawrenceburg, and South Dearborn.
Besides football, other school sports, marching band, and the community will be able to use the field when the turf goes in.
Yep! I have them marked!

Going through the sectionals and making adjusts to my graph....
I need some help--
Where will Purdue Polytech play next year?
SB Clay do they have their own field? SB Riley? Sorry.. the South Bend schools are confusing in regards to where they play.
Hammond Central will play where?
FW Snider still play at someone elses field?
Where does Tindley play?

A LOT! Not sure what it is exactly. I just know we had $17+ million that had to be spent through a bond/grant or we lost it, but that's for everything. Whole town is shut down for the game tomorrow night! Schoolboard grilling out before the game and fireworks after the game. I just hope we see some during the game. 🤣
Fieldhouse moving a long as well. Should have a roof over the weight room and wrestling room in a couple weeks I believe.
I know Mr. Amos. Good dude.

Drove by Mitchell other day. Field looks great. Turf is amazing. What's the cost? Daughter has a piggy bank with WW name written on it. 😂
I want to see it. Loved the mocks of the field house, as well.

Agree day 1 enrollment is not number they use, however 801 is biggest enrollment number ever at Charlestown. Also rumors of redistricting could effect enrollment.
Also PA Speakers are ridiculously loud🤣
That is significant, for sure.

Enrollment at Charlestown high day 1 of this school year was 801 students. Which is borderline of 4A. Also over 650 new residential home and apartments have been announced to be built in Charlestown in the next few years. Fully expect Charlestown to be 4A by 2026 if not 2024.
801 Day 1 isn't what they use though, right? Everyone's #s are a little inflated Day 1, but I don't believe those are the #s they use for the state, could be wrong there.
Like... I think they wait to further in the school year to make the distinction on what your true enrollment is. The spring it was 717. Now, with housing you mentioned.... seems like 2026 is probably a very safe bet. But... do others grow enough? It's not JUST Charlestown's enrollment to look at. There are multiple schools bigger than you in 3A with larger FR and SO classes.
Either way, I'm just glad there's another school in the conference with turf. lol love your guys set up. PA system is impressively loud, wow.
13 minutes ago, WWFan said:That'll be good for Madison. I see they play 3 KY schools...Milan....and neutral game against Hammond. Adding you guys and possibly Charlestown and Scottsburg would be a big help for them with that schedule.
I think one of their drives is 2.5hours this year to play a KY team. Then... probably another two hour drive to Greenwood to play Hammond.

Brownstown and Salem have a pretty sizable gate when they play each other, I don't ever see those two not being in the same conference.
