  1. Awesome, thanks man! I thought Sheridan would get turf soon, excellent program!
  2. I would--- dump the scrimmage week and make that week 1, and yes, move to a 10 game regular season.
  3. @WWFan Brownstown started 8 SOs last season and will bring back 5 starters on offense and 7 starters on defense from our Top 5 squad last season. We will lose an incredible pair of defensive ends that were 3-year starters, I would say that is our most significant losses. We expect to be strong up front again with our two DTs returning (who will probably play more offense this season, as well)-- They are 6'5 285lbs and 6'3 250lbs and will both be JRs. Along with those two we bring back our MLB (SO last season), both outside LBers, one corner, and our strong safety. Offensively we will bring back 3 of our 5 starters on the OL, including our center who was a SO, and as mentioned--the two DTs might play some more offense. QB is back, who was a SO last year, and is having a great season on the basketball squad. We will need to replace some playmakers at WR and slot. Our WR last season was one of the better ones we've had, especially recently, and he had a huge sectional. We did have some playmakers at TE, WR, and slot on the JV team that I think will project well at the varsity level. Lastly, we lost our kicker and a school without soccer, sometimes that can be tricky to replace. All in all-- The work they've done since the end of the season/what they will do until August 23rd will determine how successful we are. As always, I can't wait for June. But we do get a sneak peek at them March 4th at our lift contest against BNL/WW.
  4. By the way its cut.. orange has to go south. I think brown and red could have an argument made either way... But-- if you just move Monrovia to the Indy sectional (orange).... then have Red go north, brown go south.. I think that's a solid way to cut it.
  5. That number could really alter 2A sectional assignments. Well--- crap. You're right!
  6. And hopefully they use some logic this time in the 2A South compared to last time. There are a couple of flip flops on your map that could take place that wouldn't affect much, but I can't see a way how this map could be altered that much. Only thing I can think might be an issue--- Monrovia or Triton Central would be going North on this map. I just don't think it makes sense to split all the Indy schools up like last time.
  7. There is precedent for this. They've used the larger FR class in the past. Why wouldn't they fill 1A first? I don't understand how they come up with how many in each class 1A-4A?
  8. Brownstown Central HS has a HS social studies opening and we are looking for assistant football coaches. If interested contact Reed May- rmay@btownccs.k12.in.us
  9. And to be fair--- there is a JR at Seymour right now who plays soccer for them. Went to BC through 8th grade, and I tried like heck to convince him to kick for us, but he wanted to play soccer, so he went there. I think that is the only time it's happened, I know we've had multiple swimmers that went there to compete in that sport.
  10. 🤣🤣 post of the year. It's just not a thing. I won't mention, again, the reasons why.
  11. Nice. Another one I was surprised didn't have it. You a Lowell guy?
  12. Most I've ever thought about soccer haha I do like watching IU in the tourneys, though.
  13. I didn't realize I was making an argument the whole time. I was simply answering a question. I find our logistics to be, not the same as everyone else. Two of the schools you listed are literally in adjacent counties to Evansville. When you couple that with no motivation to have it in general... and there is your answer.
  14. I guess I don't understand that, but yes, to each their own. I did grow up here, btw. And do coach here now.
  15. I googled all of them before I posted what I posted. I understood how far in minutes and miles they were from Evansville when I posted. Thanks. We don't have soccer close to us, not hard to figure out. Not sure there was ever anything for you to take issue with.... I was asked a question about why kids in Brownstown don't play soccer.
  16. Not a ton of our kids live in Brownstown. Poseyville to Evansville 20 miles. Tell City, Ferdinand are located RIGHT on an interstate. Petersburg RIGHT on 69. Southridge is in a county that has 3 other soccer-playing HSs.
  17. It's not wrong. NP is 25 mins from Evansville. That's a far drive? Tecumseh very close to the eastside of Eville. Pike Central/TC on Hwys that are easy access to Evansville where there's an abundance of soccer. Our kids don't have that. Heck some of our kids live 30-40 mins from an interstate. In the fall-- our kids play football, baseball, or hunt... compared to driving over 3hrs round trip to the Northside of Indy to play soccer. Not gunna happen.
  18. Yeah yeah, I knew they didn't like how fast the ball traveled, but... idk. Seymour soccer stadium is very impressive. Looks great.
  19. Proximity to Evansville/big city in general. We are secluded, we are an island. There is nowhere for our kids to go and play soccer that isn't a hassle.
  20. Yep. I like the infield play on it, a lot. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to stop on a slide!
  21. What do those schools have in common that Brownstown doesn't? Especially North Posey/Tecumseh.... but even still Pike Central/Tell City have very simple drives/access to... Outside of that--- we simply don't want it.
