  1. Mishawaka 8-0 the drive 95 yards running basic plays. Snider had no clue how to stop. You can watch it on the Mishawaka Athletics Facebook page
  2. Let’s hope it does not rain this week. There have been times at this time of year a lot of the field had bare spots
  3. Will Snider be discipline enough to handle the Mishawaka offense? Will they get frustrated or follow their assignments?
  4. An interesting article in the SB Tribune about football at the SB high schools
  5. NP seems to be playing their best ball since the Penn loss. Hobart has lost to Chesterton, Merrillville (by 10) and Andrean (by 7). THeir common opponent is Lowell which NP has handled twice and the Brickies won a tight one. I think NP but I have seen teams who go over to the Brickie Bowl and are favored to win and who do not. But not wavering from NP Radtke seems to finally has his team. He lost 2 games by 3 points (one of the teams was LaVille). North Judson beat them 26-0. Jimtown lost to Northwood and Concord to start the year. They have played the tougher competition which some people say prepares your for your class in the tournament. If Jimtown can defense Knox's offense and hold them down I can see the Jimmies moving on. Bremen is in the same boat as LaVille. You are taking on a school that has played all 4A and up teams until the tournament. They also may have Mr. Football, the ND recruit. Two of the teams they lost to Crown Point and Merrillville. Could this be a running clock after halftime if not before?
  6. New Prairie (10-1) @ Hobart (8-3) Knox (-3) @ Jimtown (9-2) Andrean (7-3) @ Bremen (7-4) These are the NIC teams remaining in the football tournament.
  7. Not sure about the best I have seen but he is an amazing athlete. He has a bright future playing football in a big time program if he works at it. Athletic, nice size, quickness.
  8. There are people who when you come from the north think it is in the country. Yes, it is suburban FW Much like Penn is suburban Mish. New housing brings high school. Same thing happens all over un many areas
  9. They are just north of Fort Wayne so it is not like they are in the country.
  10. Is Carroll the deal? 35-7 over Penn seems to me a big statement surprised Warsaw beat Elkhart.
  11. There is an article on the South Bend Tribune facebook page about the situation
  12. Minors and handled differently by the law I would assume
  13. With two weeks to heal and prepare you never know what to expect. Maybe a few wrinkles and surprises. Penn playing at home is tough. It would be a great game to see. Would have been a titanic sectional championship
  14. The link is out there and it is around social media
  15. Homestead 2 closest games were Snider and North where they won by 7 and 8 The rest they had little trouble Penn playing Cathedral and St X. besides Elkhart they have faced some good competition as well Would love to see this game That 6a SECTIONAL IS one of the best this year
  16. Friday, Oct. 28 Carroll (9-0) at Penn (7-2), 7:30 pm Elkhart (7-2) at Warsaw (7-2), 7 pm Adams (1-8) at Mishawaka (8-1), 7 pm New Prairie (9-1) at Lowell (7-3), 8 pm NP won regular season game NorthWood (10-) at St. Joseph (4-6), 7 pm Jimtown (8-2) at Glenn (6-4), 7 pm Jimtown won regular season game Bremen (6-4) at Lake Station (4-6), 7:30 pm The two 6A games should be great games. A couple of rematches. Another interesting week
  17. I had thought about that awhile back. But finding teams to plsy then could be tough
  18. Not surprising by who they played. Should Clay consolidate in football?
  19. The won the South Bend city title beating the 4 public schools in town. Playing bigger schools helps a 3 A team in my mind in the tournament. They also play Northwood and Concord. They do not seem to shy away from competition. I would say they are legit going in. How far? That is the question.
  20. Friday, Oct. 21 Kankakee Valley (4-5) at New Prairie (8-1) , 8 pm Northridge (5-4) at Riley (5-4), 7 pm NorthWood (9-0) at Washington (2-7), 7 pm St. Joseph (3-6) at Plymouth (0-9), 7 pm Marian (2-7) at West Noble (7-2), 7 pm Clay (0-9) at Jimtown (7-2), 7 pm Fairfield (5-4) at Glenn (5-4), 7 pm Wheeler (3-6) at Bremen (5-4), 7:30 pm While 5A and 6A have the week off, the rest of the N.I.C. teams will be in action this Friday night in the first round of the sectional. It's a new season.
