  1. I can see kids moving because they do not like the coach or do not want to play for the new coach. Open enrollment is that. Free to choose. Close to 1000 kids from SB schools are in the Mishawaka and Penn districts based on information gathered. I invisiono more and more of this as it becomes wanting to play for a winner. Be part of a beter program to be recognized. And I wonder how many parents feel their kid is not getting a fair shake or the bast chance?
  2. I agree. Some schools sign off and otehrs do not. Kids should be able to play where they move to without penalty. Not sure how it works in SB when a kid moves from one h.s. to another
  3. 7 of Lakeland points were a kickoff return later in the game

  6. I was there. It looked like SJ moved the ball better. Neither team did much going the 65 yards. Closer n SJ had more success. Concaord has one really huge lineman and another one with big size. Think both were feeling things out and trying many combinations
  7. So, anyone go to the scrimmages and see anything to bring back Went to see SJ and Concord Concord has a huge OL Thought SJ moved the ball better than Concord No other real take away as they try different pieces to see how the kids react
  8. Are kids moving to play or play for a better program? Seems a lot of the college kids in the portal are hanging with no place to go. Or play for a bigger program thinking a possible scholarship down the road?
  9. So scrimmages up this week. Marian has Wawasee. St Joe is at Concord. ANy other interesting scrimmages. Not a big fan of there but may go and watch some of the SJ one to see the team with the new staff
  10. I stand corrected Seems like they are upgrading systems etc and easier to post jobs is what someone with the corp. told me. Seems very strange. But that is the SB schools process
  11. Not sure what is going on in the SB Schools....but many high school head coaching positions open on their web site. Clay is looking for a head football coach Washington clean out many head coaches of other sports
  12. I think with some of the stadiums in the state neutral sights would be a great idea - with turf. Some fields are so beaten up by the end of sectional they should not play a tournament game on such a field
  13. Thanks for that info makes sense. Sure they will be a nice addition to Riley
  14. Interesting read about John Glenn in the paper yesterday 2 players transferred from Glenn to SB Riley Austine White, a QB and Dominic Jolley, a RB (Jolley's dad is an assistant coach at Riley now)
  15. Hey I understand but until the kids show up and start practicing you never know who will be there.
  16. How accurate on the rosters from Max Preps? I take it as a grain of salt. Never know who is there until next week
  17. The digest lists: OC Damon Graves DE Tom Bendy David Lichtenberger, Any King, Kevin Smigielski, Damen Jackson, Tom Isenbarger
  18. There are kids from Indiana going to Michigan schools. Open enrollment is a broad thing
  19. SOUTH BEND — Former South Bend Adams quarterback Frank Karczewski will be named the Eagles' new football coach, according to sources close to the situation. The decision is pending South Bend Community School Corp. board of trustee approval. The matter is expected to included on the July 18 meeting agenda. Karczewski, a 2013 Adams graduate, was an All-Northern Indiana Conference quarterback in 2012. He was an assistant coach at powerhouse Indianapolis Cathedral last season.
  20. Penn will be gaining the two sons of Jones who are very large lineman. How will they fit in?
  21. Yes, a nice addition for a new era. Plus the numbers I have been told are up and the enthusiasm of the new staff has made their mark in the SK community. Should be an interesting year. Anxious to see one of the conditioning drills and check things out in person
  22. With the issues facing the corporation and the fact Adams has never been a football power except for a team here and there not sure anyone would pick and move to bring it back.
