  1. That would align with the CalPreps prediction....
  2. Why so fired up about predictions? The game will be played Friday night. Enjoy the ride….
  3. Just one man's opinion, but I put very little stock in outcomes of previous games. The playoffs are all about winning one game at a time...just win...anyway a team can, and winning in different ways truly shows a team strength. Bottom line, Carroll is in the state championship game...they must be pretty darn good....darn good. Their win over HSE is flat out impressive. I do put a little more stock in schedule strength. If you compare the 2 teams, CG has the advantage of playing tougher opponents. I hope that matters when "push comes to shove". CG won't be impacted of playing at Lucas....been there 6 of the last 8 years. Does that matter after the kickoff...probably not much. But hope that is a slight advantage for CG. Prediction: Slobberknocker. Let's hope all the kids stay as healthy as possible this week and during the game friday night.
  4. For one week anyhow. Don’t see 2-7 a recipe for any type of sustained success. But, hopefully he improves in the passing dept.
  5. Acts like JoJo the Circus boy. Would be great sometime if he acted like he expects to win.....
  6. Do you really think IU can afford $30M to buy him out?? Maybe...I just don't think the recipe for a Power 5 QB is to go 2 for 7 passing in a game will lead to much success. I hope he proves he can actually pass the football. If not for special teams and for a found running game, they don't win that game yesterday against a mediocre team.
  7. Watch out! He will call you a Boomer!! 😆
  8. As someone who grew up in the 812, I would call this a north vs central championship game....😉 BTW, congrats to Carroll...great win over an excellent HSE team last night.
  9. Didn’t paraphrase a word. Your comment is out there for all to see. Making fun of my profile pic. That’s the best you got? Game, set, match. Jealousy is unbecoming dude. Your candle doesn’t burn brighter attempting to blow out the flame of others….
  10. Congrats Warriors!! How about that Johnson County football?? Go get it Whiteland!!
  11. Cathedral opens up game with a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Trojans score 33 unanswered points to win 33-10. Not sure if anyone predicted that outcome. Congrats Irish on an excellent season.
  12. Not elite huh? 4 straight 6A state finals. 6 of last 8 years. BTW, Junior Trojan program shows great promise? Do you know how many IEFA state championships that program has won? Congrats on a nice season!!
  13. 33-10 CG over Cathedral 4 6A state final games in a row
  14. CG 33 Cathedral 10 3:54 Q4
  15. When I think of IPS schools for football, I always think of Broad Ripple. School produced at least 2 NFL players....the late, great Stacy Toran and more recent Rosevelt Colvin, 2 time SB winner with the Pats. I think Colvin played in the mid 90's.
  16. Watching the academies play football is a trip back in time. True vintage football. The triple option/veer they run in absolutely classic football.
  17. Yet they played a final 4 team in the sectional final (Carroll) and they were only down 13-10 at halftime, and 20-10 at the end of the Q3. They lost to Carroll 34-17, but absolutely played them more than respectively and competitively. Warsaw more than represented in the sectional final and that performance illustrated through their play on the field that they belonged in that game.
  18. and it illustrates why I think you proposal has serious flaws. Warsaw was 7-2 and wouldn't have qualified under your proposal. They won their first game of the sectional and was respectable in their loss in the sectional final to Carroll. They finished the season 8-3, playing 2 post season games, including a secional final. We shall agree to disagree that eliminating teams like Warsaw makes Indiana high school football a better experience.
  19. Wasn't Warsaw a sectional finalist as well? Lost to Carroll I believe. Earlier, I showed you using Sagarin, they would not have made your top 50% in 6A.
  20. Funny how you’ve been provided examples of “extreme outliers” both this year and the past….and yet you ignore them. So a team must be a sectional champ to get your acknowledgment? Sectional finalist this year doesn’t count?
  21. Good thoughts.... I don't expect any miracles...bottom line, Colts don't have a QB or a LT. Those are huge gaps in a QB driven league. If Saturday can figure out the issues with the Oline and they improve, that helps....but he will need to do this with an unproven rookie 3rd round pick at LT. He also has an inexperienced QB....although I did see Matt Ryan practicing again. Not sure what that means. I don't care who's coaching...they have holes....big ones.
  22. I can't speak for all schools, but I know the knowledge of the CG staff to include their strength and conditioning coach/expert. I trust them completely. Lifting on open Saturdays doesn't always mean following a game the night prior. Days after the game will be time spent studying video, time in the pool, supporting the JV and freshman teams playing, etc.
  23. Navy is a FBS school, playing in the AAC. They are not a FCS school like ISU or a FBS MAC type school. ND also plays at Navy, in which the game is usually hosted in Baltimore to accommodate a larger crowd. I believe that is the case this year. Next year, the 2 teams meet in Dublin, Ireland and I believe that has happened before. There will be no payout to Navy.
