  1. What's the argument against the co-op proposal? It sounds like a logical thing to allow for small schools, so just curious what I'm missing.
  2. 1. Under 2. Under 3. Over 4. Over 5. Under 6. Under 7. Under 8. Under 9. Under 10. Over Tie #1: Brownsburg by 28 Tie #2: Heritage Hills by 3
  3. Chatard (-3) HH (-17) Hobart (-3) Mishawaka (-14) FW Dwenger (-3) Lebanon (-6) Pendleton Heights (-14) BNL (-10)
  4. Chatard was without their starting senior QB against Laf. Harrison. He's been out 5 of their first 8 games. Just came back last week.
  5. The championship was played two weeks ago when NP beat BC in OT. New Pal will roll this week.
  6. Let’s get it started. Hoping for a great game. Who can fill us in on New Pal’s team? All I know is they have destroyed everyone they’ve played so far.
  7. Per the IndyStar, it looks like Danville filed a complaint with IHSAA. Danville files complaint to IHSAA for late call in football sectional loss
  8. I’m not affiliated with either school, so no dog in this. But was anyone at the game that can explain the OT penalty after Danville made a 4th down stop? Was the penalty for celebrating? Again, great game by both teams and good luck to Brebeuf moving forward, just wondering what happened?
  9. All true, but has less to do with Chatard and more to do with Ritter. I'm sure several schools benefited from the wave of St Micheals kids that chose not to play for Ritter.
  10. To think I clicked on this thread expecting to read things related to the title! 🤣 I should have known better.
  11. I'm fine with an all p/p division, as long as they allow public schools the ability to voluntarily join that division if they so choose. Some public schools will still be interested in being the best-of-the-best, not just best-of-the-rest.
  12. Senior heavy. Kinnett (RB), Guy (WR/S), Arteaga (QB), Feeney (LB/TE), Purichia (LB/RB), Keating (CB), Woods (OL/DL), Campbell (OL/DL). I'm sure I'm missing some deserving names on here. But lot of senior contributors. Maybe 1-2 D1 commits. Nobody that will wow the scouts, but a lot of solid players making a solid team.
  13. Excited to see Tuggle & Edmond play. Obviously they're both extremely talented, but I'm more curious on how they get both involved in their game plans. Are they able to get the ball out to Tuggle often enough for him to make an impact? Do they use him in the running game? And what does the rest of the defense look like when they run (or pass) away from Edmond? Do they move him around to different positions or blitz him so he can be around the ball more? I'm guessing he won't need to be covering any WR's in this game.
  14. Agreed. Undue influence of an athlete is a different story. And it happens. Nobody can deny that. But the word "recruiting" gets thrown around as some kind of criminal activity. P/P schools have no guarantee that students from feeder schools will select them over other options. They aren't subsidized by the government, so if they don't fill their classrooms, they close. Call it marketing or recruiting. It's necessary.
  15. There's "recruiting" when you are marketing your school to convince local students to choose you over other P/P options. And then there's "recruiting" when you are speaking directly to a specific student that also happens to be a good athlete. Northside CYO kids can decide between Guerin, Brebuef, Chatard, Cathedral. So all of those schools have to market directly to local grade schools and convince kids why their school is the best option in order to fill their classrooms.
