  1. How serious is the injury? Hopefully with it being his senior year he will be able to come back and play before the season is over. Rochester played Bremen in an 11 on 11 over the summer and we were impressed with a lot of their players. Hopefully they can figure out how to get those guys the ball moving forward in the season. I had Bremen as a sleeper in their Sectional. May not be the case anymore based off of what you've seen from the team.
  2. I'm not a huge fan of Valley either, but I'm sensing some pure hate towards them from you lol. They are one of the most winning programs in the state over the last five years. Yes, they haven't won a Sectional title since 1992, but a lot of those years they played a state championship Chatard team first round of the playoffs. Not many 3A teams have had much success against Chatard. I have a lot of respect for Coach Moriarty. Before he got there Valley was either hot or cold every year. He has brought a lot of wins and consistent success to the program. One loss to a tough Knox team is not the end of the world for Valley. Not saying its going to get any easier in the conference they have to play now, but we'll see how the rest of the year goes for them. I would agree they could play a few more guys one way to lighten the load for players and get more out of them. The talent and depth is definitely there for that.
  3. The only person I've seen on this forum speak facts and truth every time they post is @Donnie Baker. And usually he'll speak it right to your face! State Law!
  4. No doubt they have been just as affective slingin the rock. They are without a doubt better with him on the field though. Can't coach 6'5", 185.
  5. What's the word on Clayton, the WR, for LCC? Hasn't played a game yet this year I don't think. Great player, LCC is gonna need him if they want to win this game.
  6. I'll give you that one. Gonna have to break out the square toe shoe and start lining up offensive lineman till one can toe bash it through I guess. Until then, you can keep adding to Rochester being on the multiple offender list lol.
  7. It is impossible to win by exactly 35 points without a good place kicker. Five touchdowns is 30, 6 touchdowns is 36. If you go for two, still impossible. The only way to get an odd score (35) is to have a kicker score points whether it be a field goal or extra point. If you don't have one it makes it impossible. I just did the math and it's not mathing.
  8. I think the system is just a little flawed @Muda69, some teams don't have a good place kicker, so getting exactly +35 points is numerically impossible for some us. Could you give some our teams a pass with like a +36-38 point differential? Darn soccer players won't take a little time out of there week to put some pads and a helmet on and kick it through the uprights for us.
  9. What I wouldn't give to have a few of those on our team. We have more like 5'10" 160 killing....er ankle biting machines lol

  11. They had the perfect point differential. Right at the +35 mark, nicely done.
  12. The only opponent they share is Harrison I believe and that was a scrimmage for LCC. Anyone know how LCC looked against Harrison in that scrimmage? Looks like West Lafayette played them tough till the end. One was a scrimmage and one was a week 1 opponent. Both teams probably look totally different from then to now. Should be a good one.
  13. We were up 30-0, so what Muda thinks we should do is get down to the 10, kick a field goal, and then every time we get the ball back, try to punt it down to the 1 on first down every time to work towards a safety. This of course would mean we keep our number 1 defense on the field and continue to physically beat up the other team, rather than score a touchdown, get the running clock, and put 2's in to show the mercy he wants everyone to show. We did not do what Muda would have wanted and we scored the touchdown to get the running clock and get our varsity off the field.
  14. This made me think of Harding and the teams coach Haydock had back in the day. I was just a young kid at the time and could still tell "man they got some freakin dudes"
  15. Watched their game against Valpo. Was not impressed with either team to be completely honest with you. A lot of penalties on Valpo benefited Andrean greatly. Andrean's defense is solid. Great athletes all over the field. Offense just looks out of sync a lot of the time. These next few games will tell us more about how for real Andrean really is this year.
  16. I apologize, I always assume a Mac person rooting against Rochester is due to hoping we fall out of conference contention before we get to them. It would be really cool if both teams could run the table to the end, and have the matchup be for a conference title, but time will tell. Still a lot of teams on both schedules that can play spoiler. Cass and Northwestern are still just as much in contention as Mac and Rochester. Can't count out Peru quite yet either. Being a Cass grad, I would be very upset if Northwestern pulls off conference champs first year in the league. Especially, with Rochester not getting a chance to play them.
  17. LOL, Why don't we both keep winning, so we get an undefeated conference championship showdown in the final week!

  19. Kind of off topic, but I forgot this was becoming a thing. I have a feeling it won't have an impact on baseball, but there are a few schools hurting for guys coming out for track. My guess is there will be even fewer guys wanting to run track with the integration of this. A lot of football coaches encourage track for their players to get them faster while still competing in sports. I'm not saying being able to jump high and slap balls down really hard can't help in football, but I'll take a lot of speed on my team over everything else any day. Speed Kills, some might say its a State Law!

  21. I agree. When you can run the ball like that, who cares what you do through the air. This was exactly how the Vikings beat Rochester. By running it right at them. What makes the INSC a juggernaut? Three teams are under .500, one is right at .500, one above .500 and the only one that is undefeated, you are bashing on for being soft. So far, I would say the INSC is very average to start the season, not really a juggernaut.
  22. Will be interesting to see what the Southwood/Northwestern game ends up looking like. Northwestern 2-0 to start and some tough first two games for Southwood coming out of the gate. Pulling for Cass to get it done against Peru, but I'm not sure if it will happen or not.
  23. If Andrean can make it out of their own sectional. I wouldn't sleep on Bremen this year. A lot of good players returned for them, and they play good defense. A lot of question marks in the North. I would say LCC is the favorite right now with what they returned on the offensive side of the ball, but anything can happen in November. A lot of football left to be played until then like someone pointed out.
  24. Just glad Rochester doesn't have to be apart of it this year.
