  1. I do agree with the iffy block in the back, but this was not a one-off call, it seems like on every punt, WR blocking play there was a block in the back call or holding call. I made a joke to my wife that official's arms are probably as tired as QB1 arms. I was not bother by this because it was consistently called, and the teams should adjust. it is when calls are not consistently called that it bothers me.
  2. I appreciate your reply and your perspective. I have no intention of criticizing or questioning the decisions of the Officials. My goal is to learn more about the rules and the nuances of the game, which enhances my enjoyment as a fan. In this case I think than the IMG play led with the shoulder and did not wrap up the runner, so I believe this was a correct call. I had to watch it multiple times in slow motion to come up with conclusion so hats off to the office that made the call in real time, very Impressive. Here is a similar play from week 2 CG vs Oakland Where player wrapped up the receiver on the hit so no penalty. This play brought up another question. The Question Is receiver possession of a catch. Official ruled catch then fumble. I am not sure what the rule is in high school football. play starts about 1:48 in video.
  3. I guess IMG was not aware of this rule. The IMG players were like darn that was a good hit.
  4. Sorry if this is dumb question, I am not that familiar with Fort Wayne Football I follow 6A Indianapolis Donut hole teams. Where does Snider play their home games? I did google map satellite image and I can't image 6000 fans in that stadium.
  5. So if nobody are using places like X-Factor QB Academy, how do they stay in business. X-Factor QB Academy advertises that they been in business for 11 years.
  6. I am glad it is not me doing a top 25 this week. IMO, positions 2+ are just a jumble mess.
  7. I think how close this game depends on CG secondary play. CG has played predominate running teams this year so far, so the secondary has yet been tested. Moe has a SO. QB averaging around 300 yards per game plus a D1 RB so CG needs to be careful on play action. On multiple occasions last year CG gave up more than 350+ passing yards. On the Moe defensive side of the ball, they have a Notre Dame DB commit so the CG 6a receiving yards leader vs Notre dame DB commit should be interesting. I am going with CG for the win by how much I have no clue.
  8. BD should send the truant officer after them. Maybe a few players gone from IMG could be the difference in a win for BD.
  9. Does anyone know what the consequences would be if Greenwood took a stand and said IHSAA is wrong and played the kid in regular season games?
  10. This is starting to sound like the old Tom Cruise movie "All the right moves", Trash on the lawn, coach blackballing player ...
  11. COACH HARPOLD was an awesome coach and person. He turned Howe and Alington into really solid programs. Plus, I have great appreciation for anyone that teaches Math.
  12. Didn't a CG QB transfer to Indian Creak not too long ago?
  13. let the fun begin! Usually this does not come up until Center Grove vs Cathedral game. It is the only time big boys like CG get to play in the mud.
  14. mudsock ticket info $9.00 + a service charge Tickets must be purchased in advance, there will be no tickets sold at the gate. When do gates open? 5:45 pm Will this game be a sell out? We hope so, our goal is to stop selling tickets on Friday by 3:00 pm. Tickets will not be available at the gate, tickets must be purchased ahead of time. What time will parking lots be open? 4:00 pm, fans are asked to not arrive or tailgate or park prior to 4:00 pm
  15. Is this what drew the 15-yard penalty and cause the AD and Assistance AD to have to corral kids out of the endzone the rest of the night?
  16. Center Grove vs Trinty should have a large crowd. The weather is going to be awesome, and it is also bantam night so, if you are going to the game I would not wait until the last minute, or you will be standing in line buying a ticket when the game starts.
  17. Center Grove hosts Jennings County on Monday at 6:30PM
  18. I am probole being too critical of this year CG running game. CG bar / expectation is set so high for the running back position that when you stack this group up against (Micah Coyle, Drew Wheat, Carson Steele, Russ Yeast, Titus McCoy, Max Norris) it is almost impossible for them to measure up against them. I think they can be good, but good enough to get CG to Lucus Oil, which for better or worse IMO is CG standard now.
  19. IHSAATV.org has it listed now, and it schedule to begin at 7:10.
  20. I going with Center Grove 24 Oakland 21 (Homer pick) Oakland is 3-time defending 6a state champions from Tennessee and has won 4 out of the last 5. If you like Wing-t football CG vs Oakland is the game to see, they both run a modified wing-t. Last year team stats: Oakland Rushing: 4304, Passing: 1665 and CG Rushing: 3543, Passing: 2289. Oakland is mostly a running team but can pass when needed. Oakland has a lot of team speed. RBs can get outside and have breakaway speed to create big plays and defense is fast at closing on ball carriers. Keys for CG: These are all my opinion, and I am not anywhere near an expert. Also, these Opinions are based on what I have seen as of today. I am very aware that Center Grove Will be a better team come playoff time. Running game needs to improve. Last week CG had 100 yards rushing and most of that came from 2 RBs, 40 and 50 yards. You have to go back to 2009 for a year CG has had no 1000-yard rusher, but even that year they had 3 players over 700 yds. I don’t see a 1000-yard rusher this year, Hope CG proves me wrong!!! Rap up tackles. IMO CG gave up too many yards after contact against St. Ed. Keep Oakland speedy big play RBs from getting outside. Pass defense: Oakland is mainly a running team but can pass when needed. CG needs to not give up big plays. CG has struggled in this area. Last year 4 times CG gave up more than 350 receiving yards. Improve pass protection. St Ed had a lot of pressure on CG’s QB last week, not putting all the blame on DL. IMO CG does not read the defense and adjust very well during play. CG needs more out of their passing game. They have a good set of receivers. Oakland players to watch. (from 247) 2024 Duce Hewitt TE 6-3 / 240 3-Star Jake Riggs IOL 6-4 / 260 3-Star Stephen Ellison S 5-11 / 185 3-Star 2025 Kaden Mowl OT 6-7 / 330 3-Star Aivery Haynesworth RB 6-2 / 190 3-Star Daune Morris SE 5' 10" / 175 lbs 4-star
  21. Looked on IHSAATV and BCSC TV has no upcoming events listed, Strange.
  22. -Deontae Armstrong 6’7 295 Ohio State -Devontae Armstrong 6’5 305 Ohio State -Archer Soltis 6'2 305 -Sawyer Prementine 6'3 270 -Ben Roebuck 6’8 320 Michigan And there was Zero fat in that 320.
  23. St. Ed's CG game was way over hyped. The funny thing with all the hype about the game the attendance was not very impressive. CG brought their Faithfull that show up for every away game, but I was surprised how small St. ed's crowd was.
