They have facilities out the wazoo, large enrollment, diverse socio-economics, etc. I will point out their boys beat us in soccer a few weeks ago, which is a fairly rare occurrence for any of the city schools. Their girls golf team has been incredible for the last decade, but kind of fell back to Earth this season.

I messaged Rudy to confirm this, but I'm pretty sure this week's game will be the 100th meeting between Reitz and Reitz Memorial. I have Reitz with 55 wins, Memorial with 39 wins, and 5 ties.

Or wait to see if they can beat some good teams to win a Sectional, Regional and Semi-State. You're the one putting them at Lucas Oil, not me. A lot of football still will be played and lots can happen in the next 2 months.

"Always" would suggest more frequency than the two semi-states Castle has played in over the last 16 years. Castle was in this game at the start of the 4th Q (17-10 Reitz). I think they tend to over-think things more often than not.

Is that a forward pass or lateral? Would it matter either way in HS?

Castle v Reitz will be the best game but Memorial v Bosse miiiiight just be a little more interesting tonight.

Not sure what a "life kind Catholic boy" is, but being Catholic isn't a requirement to attend Memorial. I find it interesting that you assume the players you've mentioned by name were "voucher kids".. Is there something wrong with any family taking advantage of a resource available to them to provide an education they feel is better for their child? And why would it matter whether a family received assistance or not? In fact, every family who has a kid attending Memorial (or MD) receives some measure of financial assistance because alumni and the parishes provide significant funds to help keep tuition lower. And by the way, those two only played in 2017, not 2018 or 2019.

LOL. Obviously you don't know. We went to state three years in a row and won twice without any of those players. Rode has only played 3 games. Please give us the names of the "many others". Make no mistake, we are happy to have such high-character kids in our school.

Don't call us Shirley. We would have been fine in Sectional 32 the last couple of years. I'm glad it worked out the way it did way though. It would have been pretty sad for Brady Allen to have gone 4 years without a win in November. Hard not to root for a kid like that.

Boonville has a nice natural grass field. They deserve turf, but as far as grass goes it is pretty darn good. Castle's soccer field is far better then Lidy field.

Castle's crown is the second highest peak in Indiana...

I hope we beat them by 50. Total bush league move by Bosse Principal Huff and EVSC AD Andy Owen. Oh well, it gives us extra motivation for an otherwise blase' game.
